They've also implemented TLS 1.3, ICE and OpenDHT. I also like how they wrote a blog post on Jami's "quirks" for people not familiar with some of the challenges and comprises with a truly distributed / P2P secure communication app. It's these not very "user friendly inconveniences" that become barriers to widespread uptake. No need for a web cam... it was six or so presenters and only chat and questions from the audience. And yes that was early. I made note of many good points and will find a place for them. Thank you Michael for setting this up or just letting us know about it (depending on your level of participation). I was only able to catch part of it, but that is better than I ever manage for the regular PLUG meetings. Re: [PLUG] Thursday morning PLUG (sort-of): Running Virtual Events and Meetups
8AM? In the morning? Can I ask why go for a morning meeting? Not everyone is closed due to COVID-19. There are a LOT of people still scheduled to work, either with adjustments to their work environment or from home. My company sells devices used by the military and law enforcement agencies, so at 8AM I am available for technical support as usual. It seems pretty arrogant to assume that this situation affects everyone equally. Just tossing some empathy out there I'm sure plenty of people feel excluded from that meeting simply due to the timeframe. -Ben On Wed, Apr 1, 2020 at 9:15 PM Michael Dexter wrote: > Hello all, > > Several community members will be hosting a panel on "Running Virtual > Events and Meetups" at 8AM on Thursday and I plan on attending.
