Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
So I think I've worked out what is causing this as unfortunately its not easy to fix. It looks like the way the iplayer downloads the files at present gets a corrupted byte at offset 73400321. I think this causes the mp3 decoder on the player to fail. It also causes SqueezePlay and Foobar to fail, though in different ways... I'm sure this didn't occur previously. But we will possibly need to live with it now. I will look at what we can do to improve the situation. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Accord to the ssods FAQ ( http://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods_faq#toc15 ) mplayer with the fixed point arithmetic patch is the default. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] mplayer options on Qnap TS209
If AlienBBC is working (albeit stuttering) then there is nothing to do with stdout. Stuttering with mplayer is generally either due to 1. CPU overload due to RealAUdio decoder and possible re-encode into Flac/MP3. TO see if this is the problem - find out the CPU utilisation. 2. Network overload if RealAudio is decoded into WAV but your network is not capable of carrying a WAV stream. To see oif this the problem do a network test to get max throughput at 100% sustained for at least 10 mins. 3. Possible memory overload - again check memory utilisation to see your system is thrashing. Problem 2 may occur after you apply fixes to cure problem 1. Things to check. * mplayer is tuned for your processor - make sure your mplayer is built with fixed point patch if your NAS processor does not have a FPU. * Under WebUI Settings/Advanced/FileTypes - make sure RTSP->Flac and RTSP->MP3 are both disabled. This make sure only RTSP->WAV is used but this may cause network overload. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezeslave stopping at end of track
It sounds likely that you and I have the exact same issue then, since it happens for all tracks for me (tried with the few mp3s I have as well as with flac) and for full albums too and only using squeezeslave, not on my SB3s. Unfortunately I'm having other issues using SoftSqueeze headless, so that's not an option for me. -- rickwookie rickwookie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62654 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] mplayer options on Qnap TS209
I am having stuttering issues with Alienbbc on my TS209 II Pro. I have the swapfile on a usb key and playing all non-alienbbc radio works fine. I believe there is an option to adjust mplayer to stdout(?) but I have no idea how to implement this. Could some kind soul point me in the right directionor some other direction if I am not right in thinking that is the source of my issue! I searched this forum for instruction but couldn't seem to find anything relevant. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezeslave stopping at end of track
I have the same problem with Squeezeslave in Windows. I had to stop using it. There had been no changes to Squeezeslave when the problem started for me. I had used it successfully several times, and then one day it stopped advancing to the next track. I tried updating Squeezeslave when it first occurred, but that did not change it. Maybe the problem is with SqueezeCenter? I don't have Sirius so I don't know any specifics. Please give more info. If you have a problem give details. * SC version and OS on which it is running (it makes a difference to WMA support) * Softsqueeze version tested (i.e. works for 3.7 , works for 3.8, fails for 2.9) * Is Softsqueeze running on same OS as SC or different one ? * any other info - using standard SC plugin or "Greg;s plugin" whatever that is. As I understand it - Sirius support is supported as part of SqueezeCenter. What is this "Greg's Plugin" ? What version of SC does it use ? How does it support WMA ? Do SC Sirius and Gregs plugin clash if both installed ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
http://gregbrown.net/squeeze/sirius.htm This plugin was available prior to "official" Sirius support. There is a lengthy support thread in this forum as well. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20621 It has features not available w/ the "built-in" Sirius module including ability to use SB1 and software players. I can still use with SB1 and Squeezeplay just not Softsqueeze (connects apparently but silent on 3.9b). There is no conflict between the two AFAIK. I run 7.3.3 svn trunk on Ubuntu 8.1; Squeezeplay and Softsqueeze are on WinXP. -- atlslim atlslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3054 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

OK you have the appropriate Ubuntu mplayer.sh patch. Can you get a log with player.source set to DEBUG and network.protocol.slimproto set to INFO when trying to play a Sirius stream. The fact that other WMA streams play OK but Sirius does seems to indicate a issue - possibly. * Something in the Sirius URL is "upsetting" mplayer/mplayer.sh or * The Sirius WMA stream is using some WMA feature not supported by mplayer. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
