Yes of course you can do that but the OP is accessing via folders choosing a folder or folder with sub folders and hitting play with shuffle. His tags are not sure but it sounds like they are non existent and no mention of saved playlists. Personally went I want a random playlist I prefer to choose half a dozen tracks manually and then let DSTM/LastMix do its stuff. This is something that appears with shuffle enabled from time to time but its not something that annoys many people probably because very few actually use shuffle as there are far better ways to get random play of a subset of your music. However all of these other ways require properly tagged files and Im sure you said elsewhere that your reason for using folders is because your music isnt tagged properly. Why not spend an hour or two tagging just one or two artists files properly then do a rescan and look at Artists and Albums in Material. Youll see how these jump in points (and New Music) are much better than Folders from a navigation point of view. Then you can experiment with Random Play and Dont Stop The Music / LastMix which are not quite the same as Shuffle but IMO give better results. I'm not sure why you put this in the plugins forum.. are you using a now playing plugin? Problems like this have been reported a few times over the last couple years but never been reproducible. I will say the few times I've seen it, I have been using shuffle by song on a playlist. I can wait. I am satisfied with the current quality of Spotify. Ogg Vorbis 320 works very well. In fact I think the most important aspect here is the mastering process. The problem, I think, is that Material's webmanifest file states that it should be run fullscreen - and this hides the top and bottom android bars. For the next release I have changed this to "standalone", which means it will run in app-mode but will not hide these bars. You will, however, need to re-pin the app to the homescreen. If you don't want to wait for the next release, simple edit material.webmanifest in your LMS install and change -"display":"fullscreen"- to -"display":"standalone"- [Edit] Or you could use the Material APK from f-droid (search for LMS) *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi, thanks for all your great work on material skin. I'm not sure whether this problem has been raised before (apologies if so), but I use the material skin web interface via an 'add to home screen' shortcut in Android (Google Pixel 4a, Chrome is still the default browser). For a week or so, when I try to access material skin's uppermost toolbar (i.e. player selection, volume control etc.), the main Android status bar appears as soon as I touch the toolbar and 'overwrites' it, making it impossible to control the players. To illustrate, when I press anywhere within the red box (which I added to the screenie myself...) as below: 35378 I see this: 35379 Any pointers or potential fixes would be hugely appreciated. +---+ |Filename: WIN_20210730_16_36_48_Pro PW.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35379| +---+ grockster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62876 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Track info/artwork display one track behind
My LMS server firmware version is 8.1.1-1610364019. Touch firmware version is 8.0.1-r16855.The LMS material skin app and my Touch player display the information and cover art of the previous track, not the current one. I did a few experiements and found it happens when shuffle is turned on and right after the first song, which means after the first song finishes, the display repeats the same info and art work and then proceed to the second track when the third one is already playing. The problem is always there regardless the playlist consists of just one album (folder) or multiple albums (folder with subfolders). If shuffle is unchecked, the display repeats the second track and then proceed to the third while the fourth is playing. Obviously tracks are not of the same length, the display either skips the extra time or stops at the end and waits. In all the situation above, only a local library is in use, no online contents. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Best online streaming service with plugin for LMS
Hi guys, Read this whole thread and found it interesting. Also sorry for for my Q isn't 100% related to the OP's Q. I myself really not interested in any streaming service, have my own library that I'm more than pleased with. Anyway I'm huge fan of our "hobby" and more or less a music nerd and so are many of my friends. Sad thing is that most of them are hooked on "ease of use" more than quality of music (or SQ if you like). I've tried to talk them into our little "community" but really have no arguments why they should have a squeezebox type player. Many I know have a huge CD collection just laying around stored somewhere and I find it quite sad that instead of ripping their CD's to uncompressed they listen to the same music as mp3 streams (in the worst case) on their phone thru shitty headphones or maybe thru a BT to analogue device on their hifi. I guess what I'm kind of asking is if there is any good arguments to play their spotify stuff thru LMS instead? E.g more functionality? It seems there is plug-ins they might give more functions? Anotherthing I always wondered about is how does spotify and the likes work with volume adjustment when only using their apps as playing device? Is there replay gain embedded in their streams? Or perhaps some sort of compressor in their official apps? For me it would be unthinkable to not have a replay gain function. doggod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114890 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
