Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

A friend has an Iphone so I think I'll ask him to install Ipeng and then we can test it, before I buy an Ipod Touch just to use it as a remote. I have cables run already for the wired network and everything is working OK so I'd rather not install a new router, not to mention I prefer the increased security of having no wireless. I think I may go for a SB touch with external DAC now, rather than a Transporter, but it will be a few weeks until it's setup and we can test the Iphone etc. Thanks again for your time and speedy response. :) -- ukhc ukhc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41962 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I've searched this thread and the Ipeng manual but haven't been able to find an answer to a specific setup question, hopefully someone here could confirm if what I'm planning is possible. With the Squeezebox Duet it's possible to use the wireless controller in "bridged" mode, where there is no wireless network available... I'm wondering if this "bridged" connection mode is also possible with an Ipod touch running Ipeng, to control a transporter which is only connected via a wired network. I checked in the Ipeng manual and it only mentions searching for a server on the wireless network, but nothing about using a bridged connection via the players wireless system to talk to the server via the wired network. Is this possible? Thanks for any advice. -- ukhc ukhc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41962 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
