Ah, I hadn't thought about multi tag tracks as I seem to only have one tag per track. I use tag&rename which I think only allows one tag, but I may well have been using it too simply since I got it, quite some years ago. More research needed, though it was Christmas music that I have made my first file for and I had excluded everything except 'Christmas' and included only Christmas, seems now it's overkill but it works in my case! Thanks again Erland. "Exclude" means that it's excluded if any of the selected tags is part of the file. To compare with genres, it's the typical "Christmas" + "Pop" problem. If you have tagged a file with both "Christmas" and "Pop" and select "Pop" as include, you will still get this album. If you select "Christmas" as Exclude it means that all christmas music will be excluded independent which other tags it contains. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Multi Library random playback AFTER ibrary is selected?
All sorted Erland, thanks. I didn't need permissions, I was just failing to give the full directory route! I then moved on to Dynamic Playlist and had one of your example items modified to suit my needs, up and working in 5 minutes, brilliant. One question though, why are there tags to include and tags to exclude sections? Just wondering as if you tick to include why to you need an exclude? I don't know exactly how to do this on ODroid, you will have to check with the Squeezeplug users. I've used a lot of Squeeze players for some years but as you may have guessed I have never tried to enhance their capabilities before! So, I think after reading other help posts and then the above I may just suceed. I hope so as the project is to move all my music to a 500Gb SSD feeding an Odroid U-3 setup as a LMS. I have another stumbling point, maybe outside the scope of this subject, but, when I tried to save my first new directory in Multi Library it returned access denied from the Odroid. I know nothing about Ubuntu, having used the brilliant Squeezeplug for Odroid to get up and going. Is there a quick fix for this?
