Silas,

I do offer a totally free solution for a cell phone Bluetooth Headset on my
Website http://www.nobuttonsheadset.com/
It is on sale right now for about $50 off the regular price.

I am also working on a landline that will be totally Voice Controlled and
therefore hands-free. I am running into a few delays but hopefully it will be
ready within a few weeks.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

I enjoyed that site too.  But as always, I had to wonder.  All of the examples
are shown on manual chairs.  Also its user seems pretty functional and I had to
wonder if he was an AB Model.  Lastly, some items are not designed to be left
out in directly sunlight.  These are all thing to consider before one buys.

Years ago when the internet was as young as most of us, Jim Lubin had an idea.
Jim is a pioneer and developed the Quad-List among several other notable
discussion boards and a website.  Since then, several other people and
companies have established programs and discussion boards as well.  Not as
good, but just as well.  Some have gone, many have stayed. We continue to catch
new people weekly.

Hello all,

Over the last year (give or take) I began giving some thought as to how many of
us that joined the list many years ago have stayed and, therefore, we were so
much younger (many of us in our 20s or early 30s) then and now so many of us
that have remained regular or semi-regular posters are now in our mid to late
40s or 50s.  Woah!

In addition, I have not noticed any new, young members join the list.  Or,
perhaps they have and are just lurking and/or they are much younger and
therefore we seem like old geezers to them.  LOL LOL

Having said that, I recently came across some old e-mails from user names
that used to be on this list but that I have not heard from or seen posts from
in years.

One was QuadPirate and another was BluzQuad.

Then there was Keith who was from New Jersey.  A couple of years ago, or a
little longer, Keith and I had corresponded off list.  Being longtime
correspondents, I am worried about him.  This is because he had two brothers
who were helping him but they were beginning to get burnt out and he was
worried what was going to happen to him (as far as care) and I have never heard
from him since.
Anyone remember those guys?  Are any of you named above still lurking?

Each year I think that most of us have our eyes on something and that something
is today.  Please join me in the celebration of 44 years post SCI.

I've had a good life, doors have been opened that otherwise would never have
been, I've missed out on some things but have gained others.

Tomorrow may be different, each day is, but for today I feel good, no pressing
problems and I thank the Lord for letting me survive yet another year.

I now put my eyes on July 10, 2011, 365 days or 366 if it's a leap year, and it
will take it one day at a time and some days five minutes at a time, but I'll
take it anyway it comes.

My goal for this year is to expand my personal mentoring to other handicapped
people, and complete some of the things that God put me on this earth to
accomplish.

God did put me on this earth to do a certain number of things, right now I am
so far behind that I will never die!

Have a good one,

So I can type with it and move the mouse easy.

Hi Johnny,

Have you ever considered just using a bed bag while in your chair? I do. I
have a hole cut in the left pocket of all my pants for the tubing and the
bed bag connects to a loop under the seat of my chair. I have black material
that covers the bag and tubing. I never have to worry about drinking too
much or the tube kinking. So much easier and more reliable than my leg bag

[QUAD-L] 36 th anniversary

2010-07-30 Thread DAANOO
I had my 36 anniversary on July 26. I celebrated by going to the Paul
McCartney concert on the 24th. It was great as he sang 33 songs and his voice
has not changed, nor his body. He sang my favorites, which are The Long and
Winding Road, Yesterday and Bluebirds to name a few. His last concert that I
went to with Wings was 17 years ago in Arrowhead...

I was first introduced to the Beatles when my uncle brought me the first

Hey Steve,
I'm not sure I understand the set up.  Or well, let me put it this way. You put
your excess tubing in a coil (?)  under your seat cushion?  Don't you worry
that you might not kink it but you might flatten the tubing?  Is there any way
you could provide a picture of this?
Thanks Steve, let's talk soon.
Tomorrow is five years for me, I'm still a baby to the quad world, but I think
I'm doing okay.
