Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] iPlayer Extra Problems
Ok. Getting a bit nearer. Installed the test version with Dash, I'm getting both the iplayer, and iplayer extras menu on Web control, but only iplayer on my actual radio. If I select a program from the menu though on Web control, it does actually play on my radio. Robm1955's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36901 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106070 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

I'm not sure what instruction you are following but using PlayHLS is not standard and should not be required. In fact if BBCiPlayer plugin does not work without PlayHLS - it will certainly not work with PlayHLS. Also PlayHLS does not work on all platforms (e.g. some NAS) so for the moment I would avoid it. Any URL with Googlecode no longer works. Although I mentioned it in post #4 you may not have fully appreciated that it was ALL of googlecode. For completeness, PlayHLS is now available through LMS plugins tab possibly under "other 3rd party plugins" - it does not require a special repository - this was since googlecode shutdown. I can only help with BBCiPlayer DASH test version installation. If you are following other instructions post queries on that thread as the author can usually help. Since you are having so much trouble I can only suggest you install the BBCiPlayer DASH test version - although called "test" there are very many users of it (about 600 downloads of last version). bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106070 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Robm1955 wrote: > Looks more complicated than I thought, unless I'm reading too much into > it. To get the original BBCiPlayer 1.3alaph3 plugin up to date is messy because Triode is no longer around. The simpler approach would be to install the test version - it includes all the 1.3alpha 3 updates for HLS. It also include BBC's DASH implementation. The test version is so called because BBC DASH implementation is still in beta and changes. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106070 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Disabling and renabling a BBCiPLayer plugin will do nothing except perhaps lose all updates. Deleteing the cache.db file can help but only if you had a problem where BBCiplayer stops playing in a short timeframe (e.g. working yesterday not today). If there has been a long time interval (i.e. months), there is a good chance of a BBC change, a plugin update and you didn't notice. Updating the BBCiplayer 1.3?? plugin is detailed in these sticky threads http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103312-BBCiPlayer-plugin-a-guick-fix-guide http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103435-BBCiPlayer-Plugins-an-alternative-quick-fix-guide bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106070 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] iPlayer Extra Problems
You intially said that Extra wasn't working this usuallly implies BBCiPlayer was working. Then you are said BBCiPlayer is also not workin. Since you can't remember when BBCiplayer last worked and since BBCIplayer extra is known to be out of date - I suspect your installation is out of date - change made by BBC broke it at some point. You have two choices. 1. Update/Reinstall your existing 1.3 plugins. In which case start posting to BBCiPlayer plugin thread. 2. Try the "test" BBCiPlayer DASH version (and also Extra) which includes all updates to BBCiPlayer. See the first post of DASH thread on jwo to install http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?104672-BBCiPlayer-with-DASH-support-test-version bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106070 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Still no joy with iplayer or iplayer extras. Getting the lists, but when I select any program, it's tell me the playlist is empty. When did this version of Extra last work OK for you ? The lastest version of Extra to work with the 1,3alpha is 1.8 but IIRC it was created early last year but recenlty the repo for it had disappeared with googlecode shutdown and I thought I put it back online in a new repos. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106070 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

System info always help to make sure some simple is not the source of the problem. Version of BBCIplayerExtra plugin Version of BBCiPplayer plugin LMS Version. "failed to parse" is usually network related or out of date URL. If plugins are up to date then stop LMS, delete cache file and restart LMS. Disabling and re-enabling BBC Plugins will never fix anything - they would need to be removed, LMS stropped, delete all plugin related prefs, LMS restarted and then plugin installed to have any effect. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106070 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
