thanks Benjamin. Unfortunately I had problems receiving email, so I only

Thanks for fixing all the stuff, I hope the next release will be a better

No problem. It'll be in my binaries at least. =)

The rest of kdewebdev to be precise.

I think was Robby meant is that the kdevelop-module also cannot be
included as it also depends on kdevplatform.

No. KDevelop does need kdevplatform, and won't compile without it.

Dirk, please tag KDevelop 4.0 alpha2 and kdevplatform 1.0 alpha 2 togeter.

it is supposed to compile without kdevplatform, as only quanta depends on
kdevplatform, the rest doesn't.

if you have a concrete compile error, then I'd like to have a look. I haven't
managed to test kdewebdev without kdevplatform yet.

I've finished tagging KDE 4.1 Beta1 (it is mostly r810705) and generating tarballs except for l10n, which is still running.

Note that this release again removes kdevplatform and kdewebdev/quanta. There
is no replacement. Currently there is also not a kdeplasmoids module even
though that was discussed. Perhaps we have that with beta2 :)

Please report any issues, especially compile issues or blockers to me. if you
have svn revisions that should be included in beta1, please let me know. We
plan to publically release the tarballs next week wednesday, please supply
binary packages if you have time.

Nearly all packages I build for windows worked fine. There were two
issues in kdegames and kdeedu but they're fixed in trunk (both by a
rewrite of the code).

l10n is currently building but it looks good.

I've made it through everything else (except kdebindings, which I

I suspect that Dirk just forgot to mention kdevelop in the sentence, of
course kdevelop isn't supposed to be released either.

There are a couple of patches needed for the OSX build:

kdegames:
~ r810911 (OpenGL fix)

kdegraphics:
~ r810941 (createButtonBarButton fix)
~ r811021 ($SANE_INCLUDE_DIR not in default incpath fix)

kdenetwork:
~ r811169 ($GMP_INCLUDE_DIR not in default incpath fix)

kdepim:
~ r881462 (bad automoc behavior)

That's as much as I've gotten so far, I've got more stuff to build
still. I'll update as I hit things.
