Re: rbt post API Error HTTP 400 on new ReviewBoard 2.0.2 instance (Perforce repository)
David, I get a h1Bad Request (400)/h1 response to the curl command. Any ideas? I think it must be my apache2 setup. Acccess to the RB 2.0.2 server via a browser into a normal or admin user account is fine. I just upgraded from 1.7.6 to 2.0.2 and rebooted the server and all we get now is: *Something broke! (Error 500)* * It appears something broke when you tried to go to here. Re: Failed to upgrade from 1.7.6 to 2.0.2
I am sorry. The upgrade problem was that I forgot to upgrade the site. That fixed the 500 error. But...now that I fixed that the issue is that I cannot log in any more. I requested Forgot my password, get the email with the password reset link, reset it and try to log back in again. Still nothing. It does not even show you an error (i.e. password is wrong or anything). It just refreshes the screen and puts you back into the login screen. I've tried this like 5 times already. Let me know where can I look to debug this further. I also tried to register a new user with a different email address. When you press Register it just removes the password from the form and refreshes it again. No error, nothing. So I can neither log in with my old password or even register a new user at this point. Re: Failed to upgrade from 1.7.6 to 2.0.2
Yep, that was it. Cleared the cookies got it. I will probably have 100 emails on Monday from people with the same problem, but I can handle that. Quick question: I actually need to move this instance to a different server. What would be the recommended procedure for doing something like this? Do I need to just backup the DB, restore it on the destination? Copy the entire site folder? Copy the Apache configs? Anything else I may have forgotten? Stuck with setup of rbtools
In a previous request for help, I learned that I was simply trying to use a feature that is not there for gitlab-repos, yet. Understood! I got hinted to use the rbtools. I followed that advice, and for test-purposes installed the rbtools, following the documentation. rbt can be started, now. Now I am stuck with adding the repository. While the documentation is surely well meant and understandable for someone having a bit experience in this special area, it leaves a lot open for me, despite being a seasoned developer. Probably I am getting old. Facts: - Centos actual - rbt 0.6.1 Trying rbt setup-repo asks for the RB server URL. Assuming myserver is myserver.net: http://myserver.net/reviewboard/ (I tried with and without trailing slash, my server uses an Apache reverse proxy in front of the actual bitnami stack for reviewboard, so the trailing slash would be required.) No Git repository found or selected for http://wallaschek.net/reviewboard/. .reviewboardrc not created. This error message gives me ... no clue where to search further. -- Get the Review Board Power Pack at http://www.reviewboard.org/powerpack/ --- Sign up for Review Board hosting at RBCommons: https://rbcommons.com/ --- Happy user? Cannot change general option: server url
I use the current (2 days old) bitnami stack for reviewboard. Desparately trying to get rbtools running I found that a setting was missing in reviewboard. In System Settings - General - General Settings - Site Settings There is the server URL. Now I use two Apaches one in the bitnami stack and one as a reverse proxy in front. I also changed the http port of the bitnami-Apache, as I got multiple bitnami stacks on my tools-server. So requests to the reviewboard arrive as: http://localhost:6080/... So in the menu the server URL is: http://localhost:6080 Reviewboard is quite picky about what it accepts as a server URL. When I try to change it, a moment later reviewboard resets it to localhost. What a litlle . *§$% ! Any clue? -- Get the Review Board Power Pack at http://www.reviewboard.org/powerpack/ --- Sign up for Review Board hosting at RBCommons: https://rbcommons.com/ --- Happy user?
