In your case, you will also want to make sure there is a password, as the default admin login doesn't have one! RDLogin sets the default logins for the separate modules (Airplay, Catch, Library, etc), it's not intended for admin operator ___ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
Re: [RDD] Unexpected Behavior With RdLogin
Thanks for the reply. Our station will be using our Rivendell System to provide live assist and automation. My intent was to only have three accounts: 'admin', 'user', 'advanced user'. o The 'user' account would be limited to a necessary minimum of rights, with NO access to setup and control. This account would be used by the majority of our DJ's and is the Default Account. o The advanced user account would have access to a FEW setup and control functions. This account would be used by DJ's who have the necessary skills to make changes, and also have other station privileges. If I understand correctly, the new users you have created in RdAdmin show in RdLogin. What version of Rivendell are you using? If my user account has limited rights, and admin doesn't show in RdLogin, how do I gain admin rights to do setup and control functions? I CAN see it being used for training, but IMHO, using varying access rights for discipline overall seems like a bad way to go... Re: [RDD] RDAlsaConfig v2.10.3 Audio Problems
Hi Ryan, If you're running straight ALSA and have an Intel based chipset, you *might* need to specify the sample rate in your /etc/asound.conf file as such (use the same sample rate that you have specified in rdadmin): pcm.rd0 { type hw card 0 rate 48000 } ctl.rd0 { type hw card 0 } You'll need to be root to edit this file. Of course substitute 44100 if that's what you have Rivendell set to. Add the extra line and restart your Rivendell daemons, then give it a try. I've run into this on just about every Intel-audio chipset based system that I've installed Rivendell on where I've used straight ALSA, and adding the extra line always seems to work for me. Hope this helps. [RDD] RDLibrary issue
Hi folks, Yesterday I noticed RDLibrary is reporting very little time remaining. All 3 workstations are showing 2 hours remaining time. There is actually 1.3 terrabytes free when I check /var/snd from any of the workstations. I'm not sure if this is a software bug, or a problem with my install, but it did report properly until recently. I upgraded to 2.10.3 about a month ago and it could have started then, but I just noticed it yesterday. Has anyone else seen this, or know the cause? It in on Ubuntu 12.04 using the Tryphon repos.
