 I truly appreciate ur sentiments
 I promise!! i will surely buy it as soon as it is available in the book
stores...
But wait a minute i think u should always think of the possibility wherein a
newbie honestly looking all out to get some packaged material on the
technology to use and  promote in one's own place of working...
The reason why i am screaming BOOK!!! BOOK!!!  is, i honestly thought it is
not the issue with the chuck books getting printed rather... some s/w
devolper has overwritten a jsp page(download.jsp) at
theserverside.comHad it not been the case they would have also removed
the link

which talks about downloading the book chapters and then takes to a
different page altogether
there would surely have just been a list... no hyperlinks ..no instructions
to download it ...

Also i have enquired at bookstore in my local area ...Chuck's book has not
reached the book stores yet!!!

I gather... u have been a very sincere, honest and dedicated s/w
professional ...but does ur innate humanity not gives you all the more
reasons to trust others too???

Hello all,
i have finally resolved my download problem of 
struts book chapters from the sitre theserverside.com 
It is very simple
http://www2.theserverside.com/resources/review/name 
of zip file to be downloaded.zip
but one problem persist ...that can be resolved if 
someone who has already downloaded the chapters ...gives me the name of the zip 
file that gets downloaded when u try downloading the chapter no. 15 and chapter 
no 17.
e.g. when i donload chapter no 1 the zip file i 
download is  
"struts-chapter1-apr25"
similarly what is the name for the zip file for 
chapter no 15 and 17???

This is what my problem is as soon as i arrive at

and proceed further to download a chapter it takes me to a page where i
found something else...i.e.
Chapters from the Core JDO Book
November 18th - Chapter 3 - Getting Started with JDO . 1st public review
post.
Download a copy for reviewing.


is it a bug at theserverside.com ??? or has they removed the book now???

The preview chapters can be found at

struts concerns

Hello all,
I am a new struts user…and exploring … whether I can  
construct my web appliction around struts framework instead of using traditional 
JSP (logic and presentation combined) way of development??
My first issue is :
What is the advantage of using struts taglib to declare  Form and other presentaion related tags 
over std. Html?? 
My 2nd issue is :
Can we have multiple actions for the same jsp page in struts 
depending upon what button the user has pressed??
Then how do we define path and type in action mpping in 
struts-config and the jsp page itself??
My 3rd issue is :
Can we have HTML frameset/fram tag in struts?? where in the 
user response to a hyperlink in one frame is represented in the other one?? How 
is it useful to use thus provided struts taglib to define such html elements 
over plain html???
Please throw some light???
