Re: WinEyes Error Reports on Startup

2019-08-04 Thread Debby Franson via Talk

Hi Lloyd!

I'm happy to say that, although I had the problem too, the error messages
went away like yours did after a few days or a week on my Win 7 32 bit
desktop. I had done the optional quality roll up back then too, so maybe
that was the culprit, who knows. They are usually fine.

Re: WinEyes Error Reports on Startup

2019-07-21 Thread Tom Kingston via Talk

Hey Lloyd,
I'm glad the problem solved itself on your laptop.
Just for the record, you can get 2 Tb solid state drives. So mechanical
drives don't necessarily mean more space. But the SSD market is a fishy
one. There are drives that aren't much faster than mechanical drives.
Then there are PCIe and NvMe drives that are 14 to 17 times faster than
mechanical drives. And of course there are plenty that land somewhere
in-between.

Regards,
Tom

Hi,
The error reports are read, however users most likely will not be contacted
unless there are questions.
For the most part the developers get the info needed from the report, hence no
need to contact the users.
Thanks for submitting them.

Error reports

2015-11-18 Thread Reg Webb via Talk
Hi all

Does anyone actually review submitted error reports?
I ask because Firefox and W-E between them keep causing an annoying
crash, and I keep submitting error reports containing, I assume, more or
less identical error data. In the "optional comments", I often include
my email address, and I ask if it's worth repeatedly sending in what may
be the same error report, since I don't want to waste the staff's time,
let alone mine.
No response to this question so far, which is why I'm sending it to the
