Got confused about do-not-track list

2008-03-22 Thread drifthat
Hello All,

I plan to add some email addresses to the do-not-track list. But the
description make me quite confused.

The * character at the start means that a substring should match
snip
= - track the exact address
+ - track the any address containing substring

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I guess that * is used to match substring. But
what about +? It seems to be a substring match too. And as for the =, I
don't understand whether it do track or not track the subsequent address.
For example, if I won't track [EMAIL PROTECTED], which string should I write in
the list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]?

TIA

First of all, the new MicroEd is great. But it still has some glitches when
writing Chinese letters:

1. The wrapping. The current MicroEd doesn't wrap/format Chinese or other DBCS
sentences.

2. The spellchecker. Of course, there is no spellcheck for Chinese words. But
when I write a message mixed Chinese and English words, all Chinese words are
marked as wrong by spellchecker. I cannot turn off the spellchecker because I
still need it to check my English words.

BTW, the linespacing, currently I cannot specify the linespacing in MicroEd. I
got trouble to tell the different lines when I using large font in MicroEd/PTV.

As you said in msgid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] If there

BTW, this message is encoded in gb2312. If TB implements the default font

similar way, right?

?Summary: The viewers in 4.0.0.6 do exactly what I need. The situation

I *do* need the viewer profile per charset feature. Because I get simplified
chinese, traditional chinese, english and japanese email. Not a single font is
suitable for those 4 encoding. I have to use Simsun in RTV because gb2312
message is the majority. Of course, I can use Courier in PTV for english mail,
but how about the other two? What's more, in current version of TB, only PTV can
display asian encoding mail properly, the RTV shows extra square, question mark
or other garbage characters in chinese OS system. Can you see the extra ?
leading the quotations above? That's what the windows/HTML editor has done in my
system...This issue occurs when the TRichView component was introduced in v3.5.x
or so, IIRC. And never fixed till now.

What?!! TB would be rewritten in C++??? It's impossible...

GB I know Ritlabs is rewriting the HTML editor. That's good (i will never use
GB an HTML editor like it is now), but I'd prefer to see improvements in the
GB MicroEd editor too.

I hope the MicroEd would support DBCS and Unicode. I like the vertical
block selection and the real-time spell checker ;-)

Re: Big5 and HTML

2003-12-01 Thread drifthat
Hello Thomas,

confirm here. what's more, all DBCS letter in html version are not displayed
correctly. There are squares everywhere :-(

TF Hello tbbeta,

TF 2.01.26 is not exactly the latest beta, but a beta nevertheless,
TF that's why I post this question here.

TF When I receive a message with Content-Type: text/html; charset=big5, the
TF text is not shown in the HTML version.

TF Let me explain this. I am running Chinese Windows 98. My friend in
TF Taiwan sends me a message encoded as above. I have my viewer set
TF display plain/HTML, so I can read the plain-text version (the
TF message is in English, not Chinese). When I click on the HTML tab at
TF the bottom, an empty mail is displayed.

TF In the office I use Thai Windows XP (well, XP is not really
TF language-dependent). The viewer is set to HTML only. The same message
TF displays blank, and I have no plain-text tab, so I have to hit F9 to
TF read the message. I upgraded to 2.01.26 from the latest release
TF version in the office because I thought that bug had been fixed.

TF Same holds true for HTML/alternative. I receive a lot of those
TF messages from Taiwan and from Hong Kong. Always have to hit F9 to read
TF it, as the HTML viewer comes up blank.

TF Can anybody confirm this as a bug in the HTML viewer? It basically
TF makes TB unusable in a business environment in Asia.

TF (I never noticed it before, because at home I view messages as plain
TF text.)
