It's always a good idea to exclude mailbases from scanning for that reason. Be it tb or k9 or whatever mailbases. But in that case the problem would not be a plugin not working but tb failing to download the mail at all. -- Bye, Andre Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I just looked there and "Check incoming mail for viruses" wasn't ticked. Obviously in this case Avast does it on its own, and presents the pop-up window when there is a virus. -- Cheers Peter "Pepsi Brings You Back to Life" was translated into Chinese as "Pepsi Brings Your Ancestors Back from the Grave." I cannot find a setting anywhere to move all infected mails to quarantine (or delete) automatically either. I understood that this is what Richard wants. Maybe this option has been removed by Avast in the latest program update. Just a wild guess, but at least I don't believe it has to do with K9. -- Cheers Peter Famous last words - Don't worry, I can handle it. Granted, Avast still catches them, but it was a lot cleaner when the plugin just moved them automatically to the quarantine folder. Is there any way to configure either K9, TB!, or Avast to restore that functionality? That's strange. The plugin works on messages as they come in from the mailserver. I used K9 before I installed Avast, and thus never knew there was a way of Avast moving viruses directly into quarantine nor that K9 would influence its behavior in any way. AFAIC I don't mind to handle the occasional virus (2-4 per month) manually, but if there is a way to automatize it, I'd be interested too. -- Cheers Peter If your attack is going well, then it's an ambush...
