Jeff, Thanks, but what did I do? Did you mean to say Mike, W0MU? 73, Mike www.w0btu.com On Thu, Feb 26, 2015 at 10:58 AM, Jeff Wilson jjw5...@yahoo.ca wrote: Wow! Re: Topband: TI9/3Z9DX
Thanks for doing that Bruce. You helped me log a new one on 160. I worked them at 0348Z on Feb. 22, under extremely poor conditions. Most of the difficulty was on my end. With man-made noise to deal with and no receive antennas, hearing TI9/3Z9DX was touch and go. The op at their end did a superb job of copying my 100 watts and making the QSO. My thanks to whoever it was on the island who put me in the log. 73, JackK2RS On 2/23/2015 8:31 PM, K1FZ-Bruce wrote: Mike. I emailed Dom asking for a 160 meter, time specific, North America standby. I ran across them in the ARRL DX contest and managed to work them too! I am glad some others got in there too! Mike W0MU On 2/23/2015 6:31 PM, K1FZ-Bruce wrote: Mike. Topband: TI9/3Z9DX
Ti9/3Z9DX initially was very weak on 160 last night at my QTH in Maine (northern New England). Then the signal started building, peaking to S-8 1530 hours UTC. Unfortunately they were working Europe at the time. Waited a number of hours, but no cigar. Any information available as to flexing operating hours to regional areas ? 73 Bruce-K1FZ Flag antenna info www.qsl.net/k1fz/pennantnotes.html _ Topband Reflector Archives - http://www.contesting.com/_topband

Conditions to EU on 160M last night were just superb. Might be best to just let TI9 work EU given these conditions. This AM before I went to work (1100Z), I got them on 160M CW. They weren't loud but were peaking up above the noise quite often. I have listened for them when spotted on phone on the high bands and found nothing but kc cops. Re: Topband: TI9/3Z9DX
TI9 had a super signal on 160 last nite, before my sunset he was 579 and peaked over 599 at sunset, of course EU only, and he was working them at a good clip. Good to see conditions were good. After sunset his signals started dropping, he went to US about 0500? I made it through the pile up on a QSB peak at 0511Z one or two contacts later he went QRX, dont know if he came back to the band or not, Nice to log a new one for the season. 73 Merv K9FD/KH6 Conditions to EU on 160M last night were just superb. Band was really nice last night. Worked TI9 from balck hole Asia location. Before this I was able to log few US stations. First time after 2013 opennings. Navassa K1N was audible almost daily on my SR peak. But KP1 has way better heading than polar TI9 and US. Condx got better. At 0500z the op started working NA. Many of us worked him then. He was a good 579 from 0300z working EU until at least 0510z when I shut the rig down. They seem to up load the logs to Clublog often. Glad to get a new one on 160m! Ray, N6VR On Thu, Feb 19, 2015 at 9:59 AM, Nodir Tursun-Zade nodir.ey...@gmail.com wrote: Band was really nice last night. Worked TI9 from balck hole Asia location.
