Thanks Dave, that's what I needed.

Pressing down-arrow and enter at the boot menu will put you into the

Unity-2D on the live cd's try before you buy type mode.

Hi all,
Can someone tell me what the key combination is to get Oneiric's

What do I have to press at the boot menu to get to the installer

Thanks

The Ctrl+s works when installing Ubuntu 11.10, Oneiric Ocelot. Instead
of trying to hit the correct keys to get to the cd menu, you now wait
until the desktop cd gets to Try Ubuntu Install Ubuntu on the cd.
Drums will play after a few seconds, then the user can use Ctrl+s to
start an accessable installation.

Please do not go to the cd menu anymore.

 Hey folks,
So there are some more accessibility packages in oneiric-proposed that need
testing. The bugs are as follows:
 877817 - gnome-orca
 877824 - mousetweaks
 877840 - at-spi2-atk
 877836 - at-spi2-core
 877841 - pyatspi

Similar to the instructions in the email about onboard the other day, please
enable the oneiric-proposed repository, update the above packages, and test.
These are GNOME stable updates, so we are not testing for any specific issues
as such, but we want to make sure there are no regressions or other weird
breakage, particularly with at-spi and Orca. The instructions can be found
 here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed

When testing at-spi, please post results in all 3 at-spi related bugs, as it
would be preferable if all 3 packages went through into updates at once.

 Thanks for your time.

As I am out of town for the next month, I am not able to test these
packages at this time. I hope there are others who can step up and try
these, so we can get them into the Oneiric updates for all users.

Re: Accessible install of ONeiric?

2011-10-19 Thread Jacob Schmude

Hi
I know what I'm doing in Linux. It's not the volume. I hear the sound
when Unity 3d starts, but no drums before it and afterGNOME's start-up
sound, no amount of pressing ctrl-s has any effect whatsoever. It has
nothing to do with volume, audio itself works.

On 10/19/2011 09:21, Christopher Chaltain wrote:

Your volume may be turned down. Try waiting until the disk stops

increase the volume.

Unity 2d question

2011-10-19 Thread Tom Masterson
So I used sighted help and got my desktop to 2d and it appears to be
working reasonably well.

Is there a place (not a flash video) where I can find the shortcut keys
that work in unity 2d?

Also I don't see a way to be sure orca comes up after you log in.

How to run Oneiric live cd in Unity 2D?

2011-10-19 Thread Dave Hunt
I'd like to run the live session with Unity 2D and Orca. How can this
be done, either from whithin the default Unity 3D session, or, is there
a boot menu choice I can select? I do not wish to use the Accessible
Installation option yet.

Thanks,

Dave
