Re: [ubuntu-art] a representation of 'My computer'

2010-04-26 Thread Joeri Jungschlager
Their are a few problems with your argument.
You should change a whole kernel what makes the step too another Linux
systems way harder.
Unix Server structers are that way it can give a lot of bugs.
If you want too keep on using window or OS/2 go ahead.
It's not that stable as Unix and it also has much too do the with file
system.
The switch between another Unix system and Ubuntu also get anoying.
And this the art list.
Their is an other list for this thing.
But I hope that they say the same as me on the devolpment list.
How ever you can make a style and make it posibable I don't see any Problem
in it.
So if people want too choiche too make their system like another OS they
can.

Best regards

Re: [ubuntu-art] Silver Theme

2010-04-08 Thread Joeri Jungschlager
You cault check the source code.
As I thought most Unix Systems are C or XML.
Out of my head (I at my mom so can't check) Ubuntu themes are xml but you
cault check the built up by download a costume theme.
Like Mac4lin

True but that can be depending on the PDF program wich your standard I use
xPDF.
But I don't know I use Linux too practilly edit everything in my own habbit
so what is the use of the icons I have Office 2007 via Play On Linux.then it
runs and you see difference in Icons cause it's a windows compablity layer.

Microsoft.
Think apple putted on a flexible license. (like CC/GPL/APSL) I think the
last one is apple used.
