[Bug 252174] Re: gvfsd-trash crashed with SIGSEGV in g_main_context_dispatch()
@Vadim: Move /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-trash to /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-trash- debug and save it to /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-trash. Don't forget to chmod +x /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-trash. [Bug 241440] Re: bacula catalog fails due to missing script
I recently updated my system from the 2.2.8 to the 2.4.2 release (Centos RPM). On my system I noticed that the files you are referring to moved from /etc/bacula to /usr/lib64/bacula. However, my bacula-dir.conf, bacula-fd.conf and bacula-sd.conf all contained references to the old /etc/bacula path. My guess is that putting executable scripts in /etc is not the proper filesystem standard so they were moved. [Bug 198871] Re: Jmicron AHCI controller probs...
Ok, today I went to my local computer shop. Bought a new SATA DVD-RW for about 25 e, inserted into my PC. Disabled the Jmicron controller in the BIOS... and everything works beautifully. Now I'm running Ubuntu and while I feel very relieved I also feel really annoyed that it took me a whole year to just realise that it was fixable by just getting a new cheap drive... [Bug 123868] Re: f-spot does not start
In my case, the bug was not in f-spot - it was related to glx and the PROPRIETARY graphic card driver. When I connected a second monitor to the notebook with an ati graphic card, glx did not start - even the fgl_glxgears did not work. When I disconnected the second monitor, glx was working and f-spot as well (after restarting X). When using the non-proprietary card driver, it worked with both monitors, but I could not get the setup working which I needed (two separate X-Servers). So the bug is caused by the PROPRIETARY ATI graphic card driver. -- f-spot does not start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 261148] [NEW] oowriter doesn't behave like ooffice -writer
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org Hello, I just discover a nice thing with OOo : trying to get ride of gvfs problem, I tried to launch it in several ways : * through terminal (urxvt, hardy version) : oowriter doc.odt and ooffice -writer doc.odt * through launcher : oowriter and ooffice -writer I created a new document, saved it on a samba share. so far, so good. Then I exported it to PDF, in the same smb directory. So far, so good, no error [both with oowriter and ooffice -writer] Then, close OOo, reopen it, open the same file, edit it, save... ok, no problem. Export it to pdf, same place and name as the previous export. HERE we have a problem : 1- with oowriter : no error BUT it doesn't ask if we really want to override the file 2- with ooffice : ask if we want to override the file, BUT crashes with some I/O error Is it normal? I thought oowriter was a link to ooffice -writer [or to soffice.bin maybe], and thus should behave the same... I don't know for now if it's only a problem on ubuntu. [Bug 261151] [NEW] System Settings - Network Settings doesn't save ESSID or key
Public bug reported: When I go to system settings, and click on Network Settings, I get a GUI to configure my network settings. My wireless card shows up there, but when I set it's ESSID and WEP key through the GUI, the network connection doesn't work. When I configure them from the command line with iwconfig, everything works. What's up with this GUI? [Bug 261093] Re: clamav-base installation complains about missing Debian-exim userid
clamav-base.postinst executes newaliases if available. As exim was unpacked already at this time, newaliases was found and executed. But exim was not yet configured, therefore user Debian-exim wasn't yet in /etc/passwd, and that's what newaliases complains about. I'm not sure which packet could handle this correctly. [Bug 210095] Re: NM doesn't pass hostname to DHCP server
Okay, I was switching back and forth between Fedora 10 Alpha and Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex Alpha. I'm in Ubuntu now, and it's not working, so I guess that was in Fedora. In Fedora I believe I ran system-config- network and setup eth0. I believe in system-config-network there is an Advanced button where you can specify a specific DHCP host name for each profile. I'm trying to duplicate this in Ubuntu using gnome-network- admin but it doesn't seem to have this setting. I believe the network profiles in debian/ubuntu are kept in /etc/network/interfaces, but i'm not sure what to setup there. [Bug 210095] Re: NM doesn't pass hostname to DHCP server
Okay in Fedora it looks like this configuration was setup in a user profile. I found an awesome article on Fedora Network Configuration that tells where all the different networking scripts are kept. http://openskill.info/infobox.php?ID=247 So the workaround for Fedora is to use a network profile in system-config-network. I'm trying to find something similar for Ubuntu. I'm not sure where NetworkManager is getting the information for it's DHCP script or if it's possible to customize the DHCP script at all using NetworkManager. It would be nice if there were an advanced section to customize how dhclient is invoked. At lest in system-config-network you can specify the DHCP host name. -- NM doesn't pass hostname to DHCP server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210095 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
