[Bug 1510624] Re: double menu bar
grofaty, there is no fix upstream. In fact, I understand the bug is in Ubuntu libraries, not in VLC. So then, there is no fix to be upstreamed. [Bug 1634161] Re: Default multipath policy is round-robin, shows considerably worse read throughput compared to using service-time
FYI the minimal bits I checked in the background when we talked about it yesterday. Done in debian/patches/path_selector.patch Related Changelog: * debian/patches/path_selector.patch: switch the default path selector back to round-robin while service-time isn't available to the installer multipath-modules. [Bug 1634125] Re: kajongg – early segfault within Kubuntu 16.10
This is not about KMahjongg but kajongg. Big difference. A very different game and a very different implementation. kajongg is a pure Python application. There are no Python bindings for KDE Frameworks 5 except for some experimentation. kajongg (always identical source code) can run with qt5, it can run with python3, and it can run without KDE bindings (not all combinations are possible). But without KDE bindings it does not behave like a KDE application in all aspects. So if KDE bindings are wanted (and they are wanted), kajongg needs a working pykde. I have no idea what you mean with duplicates - if that is something about KMahjongg, I do not even want to know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kajongg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1634125 Title: kajongg – early segfault within Kubuntu 16.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kajongg/+bug/1634125/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1634537] Re: mnemosyne appears to connect to PRISM company on OpenSM2
The nice thing about open source is that you can exactly see what's going on and what data is sent across (if any). [Bug 1623256] Re: adjust the way to create dbgsym packages like Debian does
I'm currently looking into using debhelper's dbgsym generation instead of pkg-create-dbgsym. This requires some modifications, in particular: * Naming the dbgsym packages .ddeb instead of .deb (as LP cannot deal with .deb right now) * Reading /CurrentlyBuilding to determine whether or not build dbgsyms. It would be nice if Launchpad builders could move away from /CurrentlyBuilding and instead set ENABLE_DBGSYM=0 if debug symbols should *not* be built; for the default, it can either not set it at all or set ENABLE_DBGSYM=auto. This would then get rid of the /CurrentlyBuilding parsing logic in dh_strip. ** Also affects: debhelper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: pkg-create-dbgsym (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: debhelper (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: debhelper (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Martin Pitt (pitti) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1623256 Title: adjust the way to create dbgsym packages like Debian does To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/1623256/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1628956] Re: From v49.0, Firefox needs read access to @{PROC}/net/arp
Motivation for this new requirement is: ## Why Each particular network your computer and browser run in has its own set of network conditions, routers, proxies and MITM situations. Changing between networks also changes proxies. Intercepting or explicit, willing or unwilling, HTTP or even HTTPS with custom installed trust-roots. This makes the web content cache, the cookie store and others to save contents from one network that is potentially different than what is received over other networks. [Bug 1629038] Re: package samba 2:4.3.11+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
We synced up on IRC and went through the same stages: overall we did: 1. cleaning all samba bits via apt purge (and rm if stale files were around) after that my test container as well as his system were in this state: Since on the Desktop there is a dependency chain mplayer -> libsmbclient -> samba-libs I was adapting my container to the reported case. The new overview is: http://paste.ubuntu.com/23343815/ 2. clean out files of samba-libs:i386 as defined by http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/i386/samba-libs/filelist While we haven't found a reason it should be on the system, it is - so removing those makes apt match again. 3. installing samba via "apt install samba" On the apt report before Y/N watch the "The following additional packages will be installed:" That should have no i386 packages listed - please report if it does. That hopefully gives a clean and working system again like: http://paste.ubuntu.com/23343842/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1629038 Title: package samba 2:4.3.11+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1629038/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1546674] Re: virt-aa-helper Apparmor profile missing rules for name resolution
At least in my instance, and based on at least one other reporter's description, the issue manifests on upgrade of the host to Xenial with existing guests. If you create new guests in Xenial or newer they may very well be configured correctly (I really don't know). My interpretation was that virt-aa-helper added some functionality in Xenial+ which requires this access, but configs from older versions have not granted it. Re: [Bug 1606940] Re: A a single PCI read or write appears twice on the PCIe bus. This happens when using the SR-IOV feature with some PCI devices
Hi Christian, just for future references, it's of course ideal if we can verify that the reported bug is fixed, but after 14-21 days it becomes ok to simply run the qa-regression-tests and verify that there are no new failures. Whether or not to drop the set if we can't verify the original bug is fixed is something you can decide. If it was an upstream fix that didn't take too much finagling to get backported, it normally makes sense to take it if there are no regressions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1606940 Title: A a single PCI read or write appears twice on the PCIe bus.
