[Bug 1536353] Re: [regression] Printer drivers install is broken as lsb package is not available anymore
The official Epson printer drivers (for a model XP-322) installed correctly, but all prints stopped with the status "Filter failed". This occurs with both the epson-inkjet-printer-escpr (1.6.5-1lsb3.2) and epson-inkjet-printer-escpr (1.4.1-1lsb3.2) drivers from the Epson website and those installed automatically by the Ubuntu printers utility on Ubuntu version 16.04. The driver printer-driver-escpr from the universe packages does however work fine. , if possible, changing the default printer driver in the printers utility would prevent more people being affected if the official Epson drivers aren't going to be fixed soon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1536353 Title: [regression] Printer drivers install is broken as lsb package is not available anymore To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups-filters/+bug/1536353/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 687325] Re: iMac 20" 2007 dpkg-reconfigure xserver-org does nothing
I believe there is a typo in your description and title and you mean xserver-xorg (as xserver-org doesn't exist in ubuntu). Regarding the lack of configuration options I believe this was done on purpose as the newer xserver's auto-detect the hardware when you start the xserver. If you need to change the settings you may find you now have to edit the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf with the settings you need. If you have made some changes to your computer that has caused xorg to stop working and there is a xorg.conf file present first try renaming the file so the xserver starts with the default automatically detected settings. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/687325 Title: iMac 20" 2007 dpkg-reconfigure xserver-org does nothing -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 606212] [NEW] Description contains spelling and grammar mistakes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pysdm The description in Maverick's software centre contains both a spelling mistake/typo and confusing grammar. "PySDM is a PyGTK Storage Device Manager that allows full customization of hard disk mountpoints whitout manually access to fstab. It also allows the creation of udev rules for dynamic configuration of storage devices" This same description with the same mistakes is also used on the projects website. I would suggest it should at least be reworded/fixed to something like: "PySDM is a PyGTK Storage Device Manager that allows full customization of hard disk mount points without the need to manually edit fstab. It also allows the creation of udev rules for dynamic configuration of storage devices." However a better more complete rewrite of the description maybe required to make the softwares description make more sense to people unfamiliar with fstab and partition mounting principles eg. "Storage Device Manager allows modifications to how storage devices are mounted and displayed. Including rules for how removable devices should be setup." "Storage Device Manager will detect your partitions and devices allowing you to change device names, permissions and mounting behaviour." Those are just some suggestions of alternative descriptions which maybe more suitable. ** Affects: pysdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Description contains spelling and grammar mistakes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/606212 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
