[Bug 930634] Re: guestmount does not work, libguestfs-test-tool test is not ok
OK, I have been working with hillu, who does upstream febootstrap for Debian. We have found out why this happens. Somehow packages get selected twice during procssing and building the hostfiles file. febootstrap has been patched for this and will make the list of packages unique. This does not solve the root cuase, because we don' t know why apt returns dups. hillu has pushed a working febootstrap 3.12-2 to Debian/unstable last night. Would be great if that would be pushed into precise. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/930634 Title: guestmount does not work, libguestfs-test-tool test is not ok To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libguestfs/+bug/930634/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

No, it's also with a WindowsXP client. I do have some additional observations. When I do a force off when the guest is running, it works (but is hardly diserable). Reboot works, Just shutdown not. [Bug 44058] Re: suspend when closing laptop lid doesn't work
I did this test on my notebook, a Compaq nx7400. The state reported is always "open". So also when the lid is closed. It doesn't matter is I'm on power or battery. I'm running an up-to-date x86_64 Lucid. Manual suspend works. So my problem is clearly caused by a state change not happening. This is a clear regression, because it worked with 9.10. There has been similar problems in the past though. -- suspend when closing laptop lid doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 554459] [NEW] notifier applet shows message too long
Public bug reported: When my laptop resumes from suspend I see a notification that my wireless connection if gone and I am now offline. That is a rather unneeded message imho, because the state change happened during suspend and not during resume. This is not my problem though, just an annoyance. What _is_ the problem is this message is being displayed too long, because almost immediately after showing this message, my wireless reconnects. This state change is queued for notification, but the disconnect message is still showing. This means the message says my wireless is disconnected, but the status icons says its connected! This is clearly wrong! When a condition occurs that makes notifications in the queue or being shown obsolete, these notifications should be removed immediately. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- notifier applet shows message too long https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554459 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I am on Lucid updated until today and I have this issue back again also. I have a Compaq nx7400. [Bug 44058] Re: suspend when closing laptop lid doesn't work
Oke, I might have a hint for this. Manual suspend works for me and suspend by closing the lid sometimes... The state as reported through darylb's procedure, stays "Open", even if the lid is closed. Now, if it doesn't work, I switch to battery power by pulling the plug. Then, lid close detection works again and so does suspend. To much of my own surprise it keeps working when I switch to AC power again. The action for lid close is to suspend when on Battery or AC power. -- suspend when closing laptop lid doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 139187] Re: kubuntu refuses to suspend on lid close
OK, i've done some more investigation into this problem. Iḿ pretty sure it's a hal / acpi / kernel sort of issue. Why? 1. kde-guidance and kpowersave both suffer from this, indicating it's coming from somewhere deeper. 2. lshal -m gives completely nothing on lid close and lid open 3. acpi_listen gives completely nothing on lid close and lid open 4. I've done this: "while true; do date; cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/*; sleep 1; done" This reports the lid state every second. It reports the lid as being open, even when itś closed.
