[Bug 1880749] Re: Ubuntu 20.04: virtualenv: pep517 requires toml, but it isn't bundled in venvs

[Bug 1902749] Re: [amdgpu] Log in screen flashes on and off until I log in
Thanks for the reply! I tried your steps: - When using wayland, the flashing also doesn't occur on the desktop - Kernel 5.4.0-52 doesn't boot at all - Kernel 5.8.4 does boot, but the flashing is still there Editing the gdm3 config file however, did fix the flashing on the log in screen. On both the 5.8 and 5.9 kernel edit: it seems the config file didn't work 100% as some of the times the log in screen still flashes. So this is better, at least, but still not perfect. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1902749 Title: [amdgpu] Log in screen flashes on and off until I log in To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1902749/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1902749] [NEW] Log in screen flashes on and off until I log in
Public bug reported: Im on Ubuntu 20.04.1 with an AMD Ryzen 7 4800h CPU and a Nvidia GTX 1650ti [Mobile] GPU using nvidia-driver-450 Kernel is up to date (5.9.3) When my laptop boots, the log in screen flashes black and quickly back on until i log in. When i reach the desktop the flashing stops. Still, having the screen flickering on the log in screen is very annoying. As far as i can tell, the laptop doesn't have any further screen issues. [Bug 1692714] [NEW] Unstable Wifi: re-Authentication fails after wifi drops and reconnects
Public bug reported: I see frequent disconnects due to reason=4, which would be o.k. if reconnects worked fine. However often on reconnects 4-way handshake times out and I'm prompted to re-enter our wifi pass-phrase, sometimes as frequent as every few minutes - a major annoyance :-( Problem seems to depend a bit on network traffic. However only my notebook with ubuntu 17.04. seems to be affected. Two iphones, an android phone and a chromebook seem to have no wifi problems at all. Also, when I set up wls2 manually in /etc/network/interfaces I haven't seen failed reconnects so far. I have had this problem since 16.04. [Bug 1382804] [NEW] gnome-control-center hangs when bluetooth visibility is toggled while bluetooth is turned off
Public bug reported: When the discoverable control is enabled while the killswitch is enabled, the control center will hang until the dbus in libgnome-bluetooth times out. I managed to fix this bug by removing upstart. When I reinstall it the bug comes back. I know it's not a decent solution but I hope it helps you guys debug this issue. [Bug 1377727] [NEW] Desktop permissions (e.g shutdown, network, users) broken for all accounts after upgrade to 14.10
Public bug reported: I reported this bug before as Bug #1372187 but it has been brought to my attention that Ubuntu switched from console-kit to logind after the 13.10 release. 1. System worked without any problems under 14.04 2. Upgrade to 14.10 3. Upgrade went without any problems 4. Notice that standby has disappeared from the "gears" menu 5. notice that I cannot disconnect or change the network connection (exact error is: "(32) Not authorized to control networking.") 6. I can't see, change or unlock setting under Settings > User accounts 7. Running "dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit /org/freedesktop/ConsoleKit/Manager org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.Stop" from the terminal results in the error: "Error org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.NotPrivileged: Not Authorized" 8. Running "sudo pam-auth-update --force" doesn't solve any errors 9. Creating a new user account (sudo adduser) and switching to the account results in the same permission problems. Output of: laurens@laurens-desktop:~$ loginctl list-sessions SESSION UID USER SEAT c1 110 lightdm seat0 c2 1000 laurens seat0 2 sessions listed. Sudo works as expected so I can help to further debug this problem and provide relevant information. Unfortunately I have very limited experience with Logind and PAM so I hope I have reported this to the right package. If someone could point me in the right direction (wiki, man page, tutorial) I would be more than happy to see if I can see what went wrong and if I can debug this myself. [Bug 1068662] Re: webapps are not working :(
I have this issue on two computers, both upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10. I've mostly given up hope on ever running webapps at all but recently I discovered some new stuff. 1) Creating an syslink in /usr/local/share/ to /usr/share/unity-webapps/ seems to work. This is even after purging a all possible packages that are related to webapps! Even after doing this I still can't run any webapps but the Twitter webapps keep showing up, even after I removed the package. My guess is that somehow older configuration stuff from the PPA is still on my system and is looking at the older files. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1068662 Title: webapps are not working :( To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-chromium-extension/+bug/1068662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 657970] [NEW] No picture and name displayed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-me Problems are : -No pictures is displayed (picture is selected in Gnome-about-me) -No full name is displayed These are not major problems but make it look ugly and did work under 10.04. Please see attached screenshot. Version installed is : 0.2.10-0ubuntu1 (and i'm running 10.10), I've tried an complete remove (of the package) and reinstall but this did not fix the problem. I have removed evolution from the past (Gnome-about-me stores the data in the evolution addresbook, right?) but i've reinstalled it a while ago. My picture and name are displayed correctly in evolution and gnome- about-me. ** Affects: indicator-me (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No picture and name displayed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657970 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 637062] Re: pressing numlock breaks mouse left click - sharkoon fireglider
I did not know this was linked to the numlock button and toyed around with various options for serveral days. Everything works fine under Windows 7. It would be very welcome if this could be fixed. -- pressing numlock breaks mouse left click - sharkoon fireglider https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/637062 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 540280] Re: openssh (or gvfs) asks for a password everytime I change directory in sftp
This Bug can be reproduced as Reiner Jung in comment #11 describes. Before marking this bug as fixed I uninstalled nautilus-bzr and didn't notice that it was just because of that. Steps to reproduce: 1. sudo apt-get install nautilus-bzr 2. killall nautilus 3. Open any sftp folder. ssh wrongly asks tree times for the password. To let the bug disappear: 4. sudo apt-get remove nautilus-bzr 5. killall nautilus 6. Open any sftp folder. Now ssh won't ask for a password. And everything works as before -- openssh (or gvfs) asks for a password everytime I change directory in sftp https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540280 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

(I just noticed the bug has been open for a long time. Sorry for the double posting, I had assumed this information would be irrelevant.) [Bug 292963] Re: gvfs should have udf support
Find an UDF image (any DVD or BR ISO will do). Double click the Archive mounter (not sure if this step is Ubuntu specific). A virtual device gets added, just like you'd expect for an ISO9660 image. However, it fails silenty: there are no files to be seen on the device even though the UDF image is perfectly well-formed. mount -o loop knows how to do the right thing. ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Confirmed -- gvfs should have udf support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292963 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
