[Bug 294501] [NEW] gnome-settings-daemon makes Xorg use all CPU
Public bug reported: As soon as I log into X, Xorg takes about 60 % of CPU and gnome- settings-daemon about 40 % (it's a dual core machine), and it does not stop even after half an hour. Stopping (or killing) gnome-settings-daemon stops this (also for Xorg). Using Intrepid. [Bug 262173] [NEW] upgrading python-matplotlib-doc installs apache2
Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu Intrepid (alpha), updating "python-matplotlib-doc" package with aptitude gives the following: * python-matplotlib-doc [universe] depends on libjs-jquery * libjs-jquery [universe] recommends javascript-common * javascript-common [universe] recommends apache2 * apache2 depends on apache2-mpm-worker * apache2-mpm-worker depends on apache2.2-common * apache2.2-common depends on apache2-utils And in the end, I end up installing a full http server (unless I explicitly ignore the recommendations) because I want to upgrade a documentation package. [Bug 230599] Re: Tabs are not saved if "View->Page Source" window open
I can reproduce the bug in Intrepid, with a clean, new profile. If I open the "Download" window, or view source of a page, and then exit the navigation window, Firefox warns me if I'm closing multiple tabs, but does not asks me if I want to save them. I think it would be the expected behavior if another navigation window was open, but it is not if it's the last navigation window. [Bug 254726] [NEW] Some keyboard shortcuts are not working
Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex (development version). Some keyboard shortcuts do not work, especially the sound ones (Volume down/up, Volume mute,...), but also some desktop ones (Log out, Lock screen). Some do work (Take a screenshot, Open a terminal window). I don't think it is a problem of unrecognised multimedia keys, because it also happens when using shortcuts like "F11" or "Mod4+I". I also tried swapping shortcuts between working and non-working actions, without success. These shortcuts did work with Gutsy, I don't recall exactly when it broke in Intrepid. [Bug 254549] [NEW] Display bugs with extended desktop
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I'm using Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) on a Dell laptop, with an external LCD screen (installed above). In the lower right corner of my desktop (which is the lower right corner of my laptop's screen), there is a small zone where the pixels are not displayed properly (screenshot 1 for the whole desktop, screenshot 2 for this zone only).
