[Bug 671898] Re: Suspend quirks incorrect for Sony Viao PCG-FX190
This file supercedes the previous quirks db file. With the previous one I noticed that after some usage with resume (could be several minutes), the kernel would lock. I haven't had trouble with this setup and have used it quite a bit after resume. Note that this file will need to be modified as it is likely too specific with respect to the machine selection, but I don't have the experience to decide what is important or not. ** Attachment added: "quirks db file" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pm-utils/+bug/671898/+attachment/1739281/+files/last_known_working.quirkdb -- Suspend quirks incorrect for Sony Viao PCG-FX190 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/671898 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 671898] Re: Suspend quirks incorrect for Sony Viao PCG-FX190
Attached two files I needed to get suspend working. Perhaps there is a better way to do this but I did not see it. 74chvt changes to a console VT before suspend (and back after resume). Otherwise resume doesn't always work. 20imagesize reduces the hibernate image size. The max memory on this model is 512MB, hibernate rares works without this config. [Bug 284408] Re: jockey does not offer fglrx for ATI Radeon Mobility 9700
It seems there is some confusion about what the driver claims to support. In some documentation the Mobility 9700 is supported, in others it is not listed. I visited ATI's site and the Mobility 9700 is available in the driver selection and it goes to Catalyst 8.10. In a previous note the lspci output reports my card as a 9600 M10. [Bug 221362] [NEW] gtimelog defaults do not work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gtimelog There are defaults in gtimelog ($HOME/.gtimelog/gtimelogrc) that cause functionality to not work on "standard" installs of 8.04. The examples I have are: mailer = x-terminal-emulator -e mutt -H %s editor = gvim I think the "editor" should be "editor" since this alternative is managed by Ubuntu and is set to something that exists. "gvim" is not installed by default nor do I intend to install it. For "mailer", "mutt" is not installed by default. It would be good to use evolution since this is installed by default. I have not figured out how to tell evolution --component=mail to include the file argument %s as the message body, but I'm sure some else can. This is even after a reboot. Also the menu icon does not show. This happens with other KDE apps as well so I do not think it is specific to yakuake-kde4. I am having this same problem. I installed via Ubuntu Hardy Beta CD. I enabled the restricted ATI driver through "Hardware Drivers" (jockey). Update Manager updated compiz and replaced some packages. I realize there is a comment in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist stating that it might interfere with snd-intel8x0. Is this still the case, or could there be a way in jockey to detect cards that are supported by this module and unblacklist if the user chooses? [Bug 77427] Re: faulty channel mappings on Intel ICH6
I am having a similar problem on Hardy beta. The master volume seems mapped to the headphone output. The headphone output appears to be bass/treble or perhaps one of the 3D controls, it's hard to tell. 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02) Subsystem: Dell Unknown device 017c Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17 I/O ports at d800 [size=256] I/O ports at dc40 [size=64] Memory at f8fff800 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512] Memory at f8fff400 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256] Capabilities: 00:1f.6 Modem: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 02) (prog-if 00 [Generic]) Subsystem: Conexant Unknown device 5422 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17 I/O ports at d400 [size=256] I/O ports at d080 [size=128] Capabilities: List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices card 0: ICH5 [Intel ICH5], device 0: Intel ICH [Intel ICH5] Subdevices: 0/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: ICH5 [Intel ICH5], device 4: Intel ICH - IEC958 [Intel ICH5 - IEC958] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: Modem [Intel ICH5 Modem], device 0: Intel ICH - Modem [Intel ICH5 Modem - Modem] Subdevices: 0/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 -- faulty channel mappings on Intel ICH6 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/77427 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 207157] Re: beagle dbus integration broken for battery detection
I am logging in using kdm (KDE 3.5.9). I have not modified anything in the system config or such that I think would break this. I did upgrade from Gutsy, this is not a Hardy install from scratch. -- beagle dbus integration broken for battery detection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207157 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
