[Bug 1538778] Re: Resizing the Mate Desktop User Guide is not working sufficient

2016-02-24 Thread Peter Bauer
** Description changed:

The Mate Desktop User Guide can be invoked from the Panel by selecting the
Help entry.
Resizing this help Window does not work the most natural way.
- -From as Desktop users point of view resizing of windows should be possible
by dragging the lower right corner.
+ -From a Desktop users point of view resizing of windows should be possible by
dragging the lower right corner.
This does not work for me on Ubuntu 16.04 Mate Alpha1 amd64 updated to
current packages when using compiz.
When marco is used the window can be easier resized by pressing ALT and
dragging the lower right corner,
but it is still not working the natural way - by just dragging the right
lower corner.

Why is this behaviour different from other Applications ?
Resizing a terminal or browser window just works.

[Bug 1439986] [NEW] simond start not possible in Ubuntu 15.04

2015-04-03 Thread Peter Bauer
Public bug reported:

Simon consists of client and server components.
Starting and configuring the client seems to work, but the server component
can't be started.
Without a working server component the hole simon package can't be used.

Starting simond on the CLI produces the following output:
ugoos@ugoos:~$ simond
QSqlDatabase: QSQLITE driver not loaded
QSqlDatabase: available drivers: QMYSQL3 QMYSQL

This was tested on RK3288 based Ugoos UT3 device with kernel 3.10
running xubuntu.

strace output:
