Hello, Same thing seems to happen to me. Two accounts on hotmail (@hotmail.com and @hotmail.fr). Three days ago, trying, by Pidgin, to open a received mail open a windows live page saying that mail address or password is incorrect. But the other account was still working. Yesterday, that's occur on this other account. The two accounts now have the same problem. Hello, Well, I don't know exactly but: -reboot fail (it freeze on test page, testing USB. Reboot is ok with M$ XP) -"Hiberner" and "Mettre en veille" crash (Sorry I don't know those translations: may be sleep and warm-boot? Those are options in Ubuntu Jaunty. Last option is stop the computer, before is reboot, before is "Hiberner" and before is "Mettre ne veille") I do not know if that work before (I'm quite new user of Ubuntu) and when I tested Hiberner or Mettre en veille, I've got to unplug my computer, so I don't try much. I tested that to try to wake-up my computer on a precise time. But I don't know if there's any relation with those messages. If I can help, tell me. Adding: HorizSync 30.0 - 70.0 VertRefresh 50.0 - 160.0 in xorg.conf have no effect. Installing ati-driver-installer-9-4-x86.x86_64, 9.3, 9.2 result in similar problem. Public bug reported: I was on Ubunti 8.04, and I was installing 8.10 At the end (after about one hour), the process give me two errors and he tel me that he will uninstall all... The installation was by "gksu 'update-manager -c -d'" in a terminal window. If you want further information, mail me...
