[Bug 1050258] Re: crystalhd-dkms 1:0.0~git20110715.fdd2f19-7: crystalhd kernel module failed to build
The reason behind the issue with the driver is acually a change in the kernel. I don't remember much, but somthing was removed from the kernel between Precise and Quantal that the CrystalHD driver depends on, so it does not work. As the driver is unmaintained (I'm paraphrasing a dev here: "computers are powerfully enough without it, and if you need it, you need a new computer") no one has fixed it yet. Thats as much help as I can be. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1050258 Title: crystalhd-dkms 1:0.0~git20110715.fdd2f19-7: crystalhd kernel module failed to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/crystalhd/+bug/1050258/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 999406] [NEW] Apport does not open bug on Launchpad
Public bug reported: Until Ubuntu Precise came out, when an application would crash, Apport would do it's thing, and then open up Launchpad.net in Firefox (or any web browser), so I could add more information, and send it to the bug tracker. Now, with 12.04, everytime somthing crashes, Apport pops into action, but does not open up Launchpad.net when it's done "gathering and submitting data" If it even gets that far. The progress bar moves, finishes, and then apport closes. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a feature that is disabled, but if it can be re-implemented, I would appreciate it. Hmm. Well, I cannot get this specific issue to reproduce with the method I described before, but I got a very similar behavior when I clicked on the "Videos" section on the Dash home. However, I'm reporting that as a new bug (Bug #977310), because, as I said before, I'm not an expert in the kernel area. Also, for what it's worth, I expeirenced similar issues in Oneiric when, while watching a video, the screen would go to text, have somthing about the CrystalHD driver, and I would manually have to switch back over to the Xorg session using the CTRL+ALT+F7 combo. I still have to do that for these issues, too. [Bug 815114] Re: compiz crashed with SIGSEGV in nux::Area::FindKeyFocusArea()
I just experienced this issue while doing file operations with Nautilus. Also (don't think this is related), the window decorations have not been bringing the correct window to focus. Sometimes when I try to click on any button on the title bar, it acts like it's not there and routes the click to the program behind the window decoration. The window itself works, but it looses focus if I try to do this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/815114 Title: compiz crashed with SIGSEGV in nux::Area::FindKeyFocusArea() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nux/+bug/815114/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
