[Bug 1723826] Re: Regression in ecryptfs-recover-private
I had the same issue. I am trying to move my files from an old Linux Mint 18.2 home to my new Ubuntu 17.10 home. Using the Ubuntu 17.10 Live CD I could mount both my Linux Mint as well as my Ubuntu encrypted homes. For both installation I know the password and the passphrase. On my up to date Ubuntu 17.10 I got the error. $ sudo ecryptfs-recover-private /media/me/a1fe04d7-8591-0ee024c5b4a8/home/.ecryptfs/sebastian/.Private/INFO: Found [/media/me/a1fe04d7-8591-0ee024c5b4a8/home/.ecryptfs/oldme/.Private/]. [Bug 1011552] [NEW] when mounting a nfs share the error message is not helping
Public bug reported: Hi there, I had this problem a couple of times already and it seems that others have it too, ref http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=2423 When mounting a NFS share a stock Ubuntu 12.04 does give the follwing error: mount -t nfs 192.168.5.10:/Public /public mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on 192.168.5.10:/Public, This error message is not really helping as the only problem there is is the missing package nfs-commons. Once this is installed the mount works. The message given by mount should be more clear. e.g. mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on xx.xx.xx.xx:/ZZ, package "nfs-commons" required for mounting of nfs shares I've reported this with 'apport-bug nfs-common' so I don't know why nfs-utils is listed now. [Bug 465015] Re: Evolution fails to add google contacts with message "Error adding Contact" other error
to me this whole extra address book for syncing seems like a totally broken system. but maybe I'm not getting the concept. I too got the issues with duplicate entries and entries missing in my google account. But besides that there is something I'm still not able to fully understand. When I started using Evolutions I've created e.g. some address books e.g. work, suppliers, friends, family ... where I stored my contacts. Then I've started using Ubuntu One and Google Contacts sync - but am I supposed to sync between my existing (old) books by hand? -- Evolution fails to add google contacts with message "Error adding Contact" other error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/465015 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 595281] [NEW] Ubuntu/Nautilus should create missing .Trash-$USER
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I have a second partition mounted at /data. If I move a file to the trash on this partition Nautilus warns me that the file can't be move to the trash and will be deleted instead. To fix it I only had to create /data/.Trash-$USER and sudo chown me:me /data/.Trash-$USER and Nautilus started using the trash on this partition immediately.
