[Bug 1849346] Re: [snap] kerberos GSSAPI no longer works after deb->snap transition
We encounter the same bug and so far i came to the same conclusion. Firefox snaps for Ubuntu 22.04 and Ubuntu 24.04 are the same files, they have the same checksums. So, yes, the bug on Ubuntu 24.04 does not come directly from the files of the snap. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1849346 Title: [snap] kerberos GSSAPI no longer works after deb->snap transition To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1849346/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Running "journalctl -b0 | grep MetaSyncRing", I confirm having this bug, which appeared roughly 2 w-ago after classical update. I confirm that Ubuntu is installed and I can access it through the Recovery mode. all checks says everything is correct but I got stuck after I keyed in my password to open my session. Screens are like a multicolor set of parallel lines (I use two screens but starting with one only do not resolve the issue). After some trials and errors, I found the culprit. The is only ONE package missing to open the session normally : gsettings-ubuntu-schemas So the conclusion is : if it is needed to properly open an X session then it SHOULD be a true dependency from another package, not just a recommended package. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1568072 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568072 Thanks a lot for you support. I got it right in my face while restarting an old virtual machine Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I have solved the point simply by cleaning apt-get, and than removing fpc-util_xxx. I don’t remember exactly which package it was about, it is mentioned in the error message. I want to play with image processing, following Adrian at Pyimagesearch. It seems that I have all that is needed : A Mac, VirtualBox with an Ubuntu VM, good glasses and good typewriting abilities ! Once again, thank you, all the best to you, Thierry Jeanneret > Le 1 mai 2017 à 20:46, Paul Gevers <1687...@bugs.launchpad.net> a écrit : > > *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1568072 *** >https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568072 > > Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make > Ubuntu better. [Bug 1624028] Re: lxc create using debian template fails on ppc64el
I understand the debian image is not working properly (or doesn't exist). Using sudo lxc-create -n debian01 -t download we get the list of valid distro/release/arch available, and specifying: Distribution: debian Release: sid Architecture: ppc64el works on debian and on ubuntu !. Downloading the image index Downloading the rootfs Downloading the metadata The image cache is now ready Unpacking the rootfs --- You just created a Debian container (release=sid, arch=ppc64el, variant=default) To enable sshd, run: apt-get install openssh-server For security reason, container images ship without user accounts and without a root password. Use lxc-attach or chroot directly into the rootfs to set a root password or create user accounts. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1624028 Title: lxc create using debian template fails on ppc64el To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1624028/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1603957] [NEW] MMS is lost if data disabled
Public bug reported: If data is disabled at one moment and receiving a MMS notification, the message is lost forever and no notification is displayed to user. Actually, when phone receives the MMS notification, it should be notified in the inbox (for instance: pending MMS available) so that user can choose either to enabled data in order to download the MMS or to delete the notification so that the MMS is rejected. So far, user never knows that someone tried to send him a MMS. [Bug 1547152] Re: ltrace is throwing segfault while running any of the userspace command
Steve, The patch I produced is in fact a patch to the basic code I produced for ppc64el support. It is then included in the current dev. tree. Unfortunately the common code has been rewritten a lot with later commits to include new features (liked dwarf support) and that created some code changes in the ppc64el section but the essence is the same... more cleaning than anything. However I haven't debugged the dwarf support for ppc64el so I do believe there is no need to update for now. Current tests reported including: - make check from source - ltrace ps - ltrace ls - ltrace sleep 1 have been tested To answer your question about commit, status is more commit eea4ad2cce289753aaa35b4e0258a76d8f8f367c with some later fixes, so it doesn't reach commit 5565cbbd8b363fae085ac3bb9fb37773325bbd1c - For example it doesn't include cosmetic commit 5565cbbd8b363fae085ac3bb9fb37773325bbd1c but functionality is there. [Bug 1453538] Re: Invisible mouse pointer
I don't think it's a lightdm issue. I've been trying lxdm and the same issue happens there. Might be a kernel issue: I tried mainline kernel 4.3.0 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D (v4.3-wily) and it works flawlessly. Could also be a subtle race and running a different kernel (or dumping boot messages on the console) alters the parameters enough to make it work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453538 Title: Invisible mouse pointer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/1453538/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
