[Bug 815710] Re: To-button: looking up contacts is very slow
I updated the description a bit to clarify it more. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Description changed: - Hi, - when I start typing a contact name in the To box, It seems like the program hangs, but after +/-30 sec, then the program does continue. - Regards, Karel + When I start typing a contact name in the To box, It seems like the auto completion is not working, but after +/-30 sec the auto completion works and the email adress is completed. + During this period it is still possibl e to continue typing the email adress (or do other things), the evolution itself does not hang. [Bug 773466] Re: libva1 trying to open /usr/lib/dri/nvidia_drv_video.so ends with segmentation fault
For me it works for ATI/fglrx with these steps: 1) Install fglrx and libva1 1.0.12-1~xup from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates 2) Download and install http://www.splitted-desktop.com/~gbeauchesne/xvba-video/xvba-video_0.8.0-1_amd64.deb (the version from the repositories seems to be missing functions) 3) libva looks in /usr/lib/dri/ for its drivers and xvba-video installs in /usr/lib/va/ so create a symolic link to fix this: ln -s /usr/lib/va/fglrx_drv_video.so /usr/lib/dri/ (see comment #9) 4) set LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME to fglrx (export LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=fglrx) eg in ~/.bashrc to prevent vlc crashes (see comment #9) 5) Optional, install vainfo and run the comment to see that everything is working correctly, for me (ATI HD5870) it returns: libva: libva version 0.32.0 libva: User requested driver 'fglrx' libva: Trying to open /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_drv_video.so libva: va_openDriver() returns 0 vainfo: VA API version: 0.32 vainfo: Driver version: Splitted-Desktop Systems XvBA backend for VA-API - 0.8.0 vainfo: Supported profile and entrypoints VAProfileH264High : VAEntrypointVLD VAProfileVC1Advanced: VAEntrypointVLD So to return to this bug report, adding the LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=fglrx and creating the symbolic link worked for me as a fix/workaround. Thanks for your reply. Unfortuately we do not have enough information to work on this bug. At a minimum we need: - the actual error message when storing the send message in the IMAP account fails - the log file recorded when the error occurred (to generate the log file start evolution from a terminal using evolution --debug=~/evo.log) Hopefully this will result in a better understanding of the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/778543 Title: Evolution mostly (?!) fails to save sent email to IMAPs sent folder - the mail is saved in local folder instead -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

As an addition on my previous comment: in order to get more/useful log information about the IMAP server communication, please start evolution using: env CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG=1 evolution ~/evo.log Also, it might be a solution to update to a newer version of evolution, the natty repositories provide version 2.32.2. [Bug 790014] Re: index says there is an unread message, but in fact there is no mesage
I frequently have this problem as well, also with the unread counter on top of the list: xx unread, xx total Choosing show 'Unread Messages', shows the 'unread' messages. But they are read (and shown as read as well). Selecting them and marking them as unread and after that marking them as read, mostly fixes the wrong unread-counter If that fails (sometimes) selecting all messages (in All Messages view) and again marking them unread and read again, always fixes the wrong unread counter. It seems that it has something to do with me having read the messages on another computer at work (the unread messages problem then might happen at home for the same email account) ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790014 Title: index says there is an unread message, but in fact there is no mesage -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 605356] [NEW] Mounting partitions using UUIDs fails while booting
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mountall When I use UUIDs in /etc/fstab mounting during booting fails. After mounting failed, I can use manual recovery and use 'mount -a' to mount both partitions correctly (ie UUID seems to be available at that time) When I am using the device paths (/dev/sdaX) in fstab mounting does not fail. I also tried to add bootwait to the mounting flags in fstab, as suggested in #481190, but this did not affect the outcome.
