[Bug 401063] Re: cryptsetup does not ask for password during graphical boot on karmic
Hi Laurens, I'm sorry about the long time since responding. The problem still occurs for me, and my package versions are newer than those you have listed above: usplash 0.5.37 usplash-theme-uibuntu 0.25 initramfs-tools 0.92bubuntu46 sysvinit-utils 2.87dsf-4ubuntu3 Many thanks, Evan. -- cryptsetup does not ask for password during graphical boot on karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401063 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 401063] Re: cryptsetup does not ask for password during graphical boot on karmic
I seem to have a very similar problem, although it occurs on both graphical and recovery mode. After recovery mode drops to busybox shell I can then manually type: cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda1 root enter the password exit busybox And then it resumes booting fine. My system is upgraded from jaunty rather than a clean karmic alpha install. -- cryptsetup does not ask for password during graphical boot on karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401063 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 358315] Re: [gm45] [jaunty] intel xrandr dual head auto config only configures part of one screen on Dell Lattitude E4300
This is what the desktop looks like on bootup. Left hand monitor is off, and there's something weird going on with the RHS. I can't move the mouse over into the screen that's on. ** Attachment added: "1241683087161.jpg" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26425022/1241683087161.jpg -- [gm45] [jaunty] intel xrandr dual head auto config only configures part of one screen on Dell Lattitude E4300 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358315 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 358315] Re: [gm45] [jaunty] intel xrandr dual head auto config only configures part of one screen on Dell Lattitude E4300
Hello, The behaviour has changed slightly since the bug was reported, due to package updates I suspect. The current behaviour is now that the Left screen remains in standby, and the Right hand screen powers up and shows the right hand side of the extended desktop. However, the desktop wallpaper is shrunken and tiled. As such I can't actually open a window to try to move it, but I believe that this didn't work before the behaviour changed. No I am not using compiz. I'll attach some screenshots shortly. Thanks, Evan. -- [gm45] [jaunty] intel xrandr dual head auto config only configures part of one screen on Dell Lattitude E4300 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358315 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 358315] [NEW] [jaunty] intel xrandr dual head auto config only configures part of one screen on Dell Lattitude E4300
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I have a Dell Lattitude E4300 (Intel GM45 chipset). When logging in with it plugged into the Dell docking station with two Dell DVI 1600x1200 monitors connected, Only the Left hand monitor powers up, and although it displays the full resolution, the mouse is only moveable within a small section (about 1024x768? from the top left hand corner). When I then bring up the Display control panel, it shows me that both monitors are enabled (and laptop screen disabled). But for me to be able to use the full LH screen and for the RH screen to power on I have to disable the RH screen, hit apply, and then re-enable the RH screen and hit apply.
