Hi - just did update and also had issue where boot failed to progress - bit hard to tell what was happening as the HDMI video had not come up at that point. had to revert to 4.4.0-104. Hi, I also appear to have this bug. Does not materially impact boot time as is only involves the EFI system partition but it is a pain as when I switch to any virtual terminal I see that boot message but do not get a cmd prompt. On my system this bug appears to have been resolved since Chromium updated to Version 53.0.2785.143. I found that stopping the gnome-keyring process resulted in the PC running normally again until the screen lock came on. This resulted in been unable to unlock the screen again requiring dropping to a command line via Ctrl + Alt + F1 to allow a reboot. Have the same issue but have just converted my wav to an ogg and it works OK (although I think that I have tried an ogg earlier. Unfortunately after reading through the posts I also installed the gstreamer plug in for canberra so not sure if that was also involved in the fix. I also have this bug. Updated to 10.10 and had problem with X so am running novoeau due a problem with the legacy drivers for my old MX440 nvidia card. Tried the clearlooks theme and while it appeared to make a small improvement - you can see the progress bar actually moving, Xorg is running at 75% CPU utilization while the progress bar is in the "building data structures" phase. This bug affects me as well On eeePC 701 with 4G HD and 512M ram. Installed beta version of netbook edition with default install. Found that running pointer over quicklists has swap usage climbing till it hits 100% without have any other applications open other than system monitor. This renders system unusable. Use of RAM remains at around 25% Have re-installed without any swap - has large amount of disk activity on first start that appears to be related to quicklists being populated?? Still very sluggish but just useable.
