[Bug 774978] Re: xserver crashes in RecordAReply when XRecord is enabled in syndaemon
Is this fixed for everybody else... I have xserver-xorg-input-synaptics - 1.3.99+git20110116.0e27ce3a-0ubuntu12.1 and it is not fixed, crashes most every day at least once. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774978 Title: xserver crashes in RecordAReply when XRecord is enabled in syndaemon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/774978/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 709461] Re: Application windows can sometimes fail to display and will mask regions of the screen
On this thread in Ubuntu Forums, people seem to think they have a way to stop it from happening, although the solution sounds strange. If that is really true, perhaps that will provide a debugging clue: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1747222 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/709461 Title: Application windows can sometimes fail to display and will mask regions of the screen -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 714182] [NEW] Eclipse menu only appears if add/remove appmenu
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-appmenu In Ubuntu Natty alpha 2, logged into Classic mode. indicator applet appmenu is removed from the panel, not using it. Start up the IDE eclipse. Eclipse has no menu (on window or global) unless you first add indicator applet appmenu, and then remove indicator applet appmenu, which triggers eclipse menu to show up. [Bug 610440] Re: ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout after Kernel Upgrade
This is happening in Natty Alpha 2 on Acer Aspire 3100 also. This computer has worked with other versions. It is bad enough that the computer can only be used by disabling wireless "Flight Mode", due to the lags. And of course no wireless either way. Example from dmesg: [ 9802.523606] ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout (2422MHz) [ 9803.037864] ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout (2427MHz) [ 9803.559724] ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout (2432MHz) [ 9804.080083] ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout (2437MHz) [ 9804.590107] ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout (2442MHz) [ 9805.098154] ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout (2447MHz) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/610440 Title: ath5k phy0: gain calibration timeout after Kernel Upgrade -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 630299] Re: Mouse, UI, stops every 10 seconds
Using System|Administration|Additional Drivers to again remove the NVIDIA driver, the odd mouse stutter does return. [probably off-topic: while NVIDIA was loaded, system performance was horrible, couldn't scroll the screen smoothly in a browser while a compile was running in the background. [Bug 630299] Re: Mouse, UI, stops every 10 seconds
Happened upon a way to make this problem go away for this laptop. With a clean install from the beta, and applying all updates today, the problem is present, just as described above. Then, installed the proprietary drivers - this hardware wanted Broadcom STA and NVIDIA. After rebooting, the problem is gone, no mouse stutter, and no 10 second cpu blips visible in System Monitor. [Bug 630299] [NEW] Mouse, UI, stops every 10 seconds
Public bug reported: Problem appears to be the same as Bug #595764, which is marked as Fixed, so creating this new report. Using Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick beta, Dell E6510 laptop with i7 and nvidia: The mouse (keyboard, scrolling) have pauses every 10 seconds. The pauses can be seen as big CPU blips on one CPU thread with System Monitor on the Resources tab. The blips range from 40% to 100%, the 10 second rate is fairly close, but does vary slightly. Using "top" shows the process kslowd001 jump to the top at the same moment.
