What I expected to happen: - I expected that at step 4 the item could be moved to the bottom of the launcher. Sorry guys, must have not explained the bug in enough detail. Ok the steps to reproduce. 1) Click and hold onto an item in the launcher from the top 2) Drag the item to the right so that it doesn't touch the launcher 3) Drag the item down to the bottom of the screen 4) Note that the item doesn't appear directly above the workspace switcher, but above the item above the workspace switcher. I have attached a screenshot showing the issue. The left side of the screenshot shows the bug as nautilus is not at the bottom of the list, when dragging the item outside of the launcher. The right side is the correct behaviour as the item (nautilus) is at the bottom of the list, but was dragged inside the launcher. If you need any further explanation please ask. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I don't have this problem on Quantal. If I drag the icon out of the launcher and downwards, the horizontal line appears right above the workspace switcher as expected. Leaving the launcher icon at that spot puts it right above the switcher. Hi Bilal No I mean move an item to the bottom of the launcher (above the workspace switcher). It is not possible if (when you drag the item) the whole of the item is *outside* of the launcher. If the item is touching the launcher you can move it to the bottom, but if the item is outside you can't! Please ask if you need me to explain in more detail.
