theres a patch here that gets you to compile, and up and running, but unfortunately the scanning for networks is funky causing wicd-client to crap out for me.: http://bugs.gentoo.org/248450 -- Broadcom STA wireless driver not working with kernel 2.6.34 RC7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/585183 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 585183] Re: Broadcom STA wireless driver not working with kernel 2.6.34 RC7
Hi Martin, If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message. I thought, the latest upstream-kernel is the 2.6.34 RC7. - How can I find out what is the mainline build? I used the variant with generic in it's filenames. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. Unfortunately I will not have time to test during the next days and it might be that I have to ship that machine to the end user then. I have that machine since Lucid release now for testing which already is quite a long time. -- Martin Wildam -- Broadcom STA wireless driver not working with kernel 2.6.34 RC7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/585183 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
