Re: [Bug 660979] Re: All Applications tab only shows first 100 applications
status confirmed Yes, if we claim to show all apps, and we only show a portion, there needs to be some indication of that together with a means to show the rest. [Bug 660979] Re: All Applications tab only shows first 100 applications
Just a small comment about usability: All apps has to show all applications - everything else would lead to confusion at the side of the users. If for performance reasons the developers decide to show only 100 applications then this should be reflected by the name. E.g. First 100 apps Well, the more you think about it the clearer it becomes that there should be no limit. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/660979 Title: All Applications tab only shows first 100 applications -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 660979] Re: All Applications tab only shows first 100 applications
I think that's for performance goal. You still can type w in the search area from All Applications and you should see wireshark normallement :) I still subscribe and triage so that upstream can state if the limitation of 100 icons on All apps is deliberate or not. ** Changed in: unity Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: unity Importance: Undecided = Low ** Also affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low -- All Applications tab only shows first 100 applications https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/660979 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
