[Bug 794916] [NEW] initscript wrongly sets --script-security
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openvpn The openvpn initscript wrongly sets --script-security 2 on the command line to handle backwards compatibility, even if script-security is specified in the config file. This Bug is only triggered, if openvpn starts multiple daemons. If the first daemon started does not have script-security in its configuration, the initscript sets script_security but does not reset it for subsequent daemons. Tested with 10.04, but the bug is present in 11.10 aswell. So, I have 2 questions a.) did you have data that you were expecting to be ugpraded? Ie, was this more than just a test? If so, can you give output of 'find /var/backups/eucalyptus/' b.) is there anything that you may have done that might have caused a funny state prior to upgrade? [Bug 794978] Re: libvirt fails to start on ubuntu 10.04
Where did you get the libvirt 0.8.8 package for 10.04 ? The version of libvirt in 10.04 is 0.7.5-5ubuntu27.11 (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt). From the error message that you've given, I would guess that the newer libvirt needs a newer kernel, or other dependency that isn't there on 10.04. I'm marking this Won't Fix as we don't really support newer versions of software. If I've mis-diagnosed this, please do re-open the bug stating why. On a fresh ec2 instance (i386), I've tried: $ sudo apt-get install clamav-freshclam No errors occur on installation. $ sudo dpkg-reconfigure clamav-freshclam # select 'daemon' # select 'db.local.clamav.net' # do not enter a proxy (just tab to 'ok') # use the default '24' times per day # take default 'No' that freshclam should be notified after updates. I do not see any errors, nor do I see non ascii characters in /etc/clamav/freshclam.conf. Could you provide some more information to help us reproduce the problem? ** Changed in: clamav (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to clamav in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/784797 Title: [Natty] freshclam.conf has invalid characters and cannot be parsed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clamav/+bug/784797/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

There still hasn't been verification on maverick. [Bug 795336] [NEW] dovecot-postfix always overwrites main.cf
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dovecot-postfix Every upgrade of dovecot-postfix overwrites the main.cf postfix configuration file removing some of the users customisations. It is expected on initial install for this to occur (although a warning even then would be good), however according to the postinst it is not supposed to overwrite the config on upgrades. It was noticed on a previous upgrade as well as one done last night. Thankfully, as I use etckeeper I was able to rollback the changes it made without any problem. To confirm it was dovecot-postfix I did apt- get install --reinstall dovecot-postfix after restoring the correct config and it again overwrote the main.cf. The problem seems to be in the snippit of postinst below. The POSTFIX_BCKFILE's do exist, however the check for the file not existing occurs AFTER the backup file is moved to the dated version. It appears that maybe the mv should be a copy, or the test for not existing should be changed. $ ls -l /var/backups/dovecot-postfix/main.cf-backup* -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1219 2011-06-10 09:00 /var/backups/dovecot-postfix/main.cf-backup -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 708 2010-03-06 15:52 /var/backups/dovecot-postfix/main.cf-backup-201007062114 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 934 2010-07-06 21:14 /var/backups/dovecot-postfix/main.cf-backup-201103060521 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1166 2011-03-06 05:22 /var/backups/dovecot-postfix/main.cf-backup-201106092123 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1219 2011-06-09 21:24 /var/backups/dovecot-postfix/main.cf-backup-201106100859 snippit of postinst # Configure postfix either on new install # or if the postfix backup file is no longer there # (only deleted when the pkg is removed) if [ -f /etc/postfix/main.cf ]; then if [ -e $POSTFIX_BCKFILE ]; then mv $POSTFIX_BCKFILE ${POSTFIX_BCKFILE}-$(date +%Y%m%d%H%M) fi if [ -z $2 -o ! -e $POSTFIX_BCKFILE ]; then ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: dovecot-postfix 1:1.2.9-1ubuntu6.4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-30.59-generic-pae 2.6.32.29+drm33.13 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-30-generic-pae i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Jun 10 08:55:25 2011 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: dovecot ** Affects: dovecot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to dovecot in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/795336 Title: dovecot-postfix always overwrites main.cf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dovecot/+bug/795336/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 795358] [NEW] vmbuilder script fails on deploy/cleanup
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: python-vm-builder Originally attached to bug #562189 I believe this is a bug. There are two checks for pre-existing VMs, and they differ: /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/VMBuilder/plugins/libvirt/__init__.py line 54:if hostname in self.all_domains() and not self.context.overwrite: line 80:if hostname in self.all_domains() and not self.vm.overwrite: Changing line 80 to match line 54 prevents this error. I believe this is an ok fix. Consider splitting this into a function, rather than copying and pasting code, if these are supposed to be identical lines. [Bug 795366] [NEW] virsh save may fail under load on natty
Public bug reported: This does not affect Oneiric or Maverick. It seems the combination of qemu and libvirt in natty causes this problem. Upstream bugs: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=678548 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=672725 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=678524 It appears that redhat had a fix to help with this in: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2011-0596.html And a fix for qemu in: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-0534.html Finally, https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=678548#c7 gives the commit (in 0.9.0) to also fix this issue. I have not investigated this heavily, but discovered the issue when running test-libvirt.py in QRT. Since natty is released and not an LTS, I am not sure how worthwhile this is to fix. I have disabled the save/restore tests in QRT for natty for the time being. ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu Natty) Importance: Undecided Status: Triaged ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu Oneiric) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released ** Tags: regression-release ** Also affects: libvirt (Ubuntu Natty) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: libvirt (Ubuntu Oneiric) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu Oneiric) Status: New = Fix Released ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu Natty) Status: New = Triaged ** Tags added: regression-release -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/795366 Title: virsh save may fail under load on natty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/795366/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 734798] Re: nvidia-current gifs no video in videoplayers
Exact same problem here : Ubuntu 11.04 unity, Graphics card GeForce 8400 GS, nvidia-driver-173 By accident, I found that by running NVIDIA Xserver setting, right click on the NVIDIA icon on unity menu bar, and mark it as Always show is enough to have the same effect as running the same program from system setting. This is only a workround, but in effect, I can watch videos immediately after login without running the xserver setting thing.
