Public bug reported: I've got a KVM guest running Quantal server (as per CD install 2012-09-01) and it runs tgtd with a single target (the target is an LVM lv - I'll attach any configs that apport hasn't attached) If I just boot the vm, the guests don't see the disc - when they log in they just see the 'controller' (LUN 0), if I restart tgtd then they see the disc (LUN 1). Hello! I am not able to reproduce this using php5-cli from precise or quantal. If I add checks using memory_get_usage(), I get a delta of 288 bytes, and then actually 0 delta once ftp_close is called. Can you provide more information on how you used xdebug to determine it was ftp_* causing your memory leaks? Also have you tried using gc_enable();gc_collect_cycles() in your code after doing a lot of operations, to see if the memory is freed? I had a similar problem, and found a workaround. All I did was completely remove the three folders in ~/.thumbnails: fail, large and normal. Nautilus then re-reads the metadata and assigns new icons to all the files on the computer. I use Unity and have the same problem. [Bug 1047712] Re: container-detect.conf should be 'start on virtual-filesystems'
A careful examination of the container-detect job shows that switching it to virtual-filesystems would also result in a race condition. The job has two functions: - emitting an event telling whether we're in a container or not - populating /run/container_type The first function is race-free by definition. The second would be racy because the file is consumed by /bin/running-in-container, which is in turn used by /lib/init/apparmor-profile-load, needed by several other upstart jobs to determine whether the apparmor profile needs to be loaded. In the non-container case there's no problem; in the container case, there's a race because these jobs may be started in parallel to the virtual-filesystems processing, check for /run/container_type before it's written, and fail to start because of an apparmor failure. So unfortunately I don't think we can change this. [Bug 1047744] [NEW] update fails with no Package: header
Public bug reported: I booted up my machine after 3 months and it refuses to perform software updates using Muon or with apt-get from cmdline. E: Encountered a section with no Package: header E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/linux.ntuoss.org_ubuntu_dists_precise-updates_restricted_binary-amd64_Packages E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened. I ran apt-get clean and apt-get update then replicted the same from cmdline with apt-get dist-upgrade Linux owl 3.2.0-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Mon May 21 16:52:17 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Ubuntu 12.0.4 Why did this this happen on its own? did something break in the last update? Last update in dpgk.log.1 was on 29/05/2012 and no errors are logged in it. I am unable to run ubuntu-bug because the same problem prevents i from running to completion successfully.
