Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 3.20 Beta
I just did insitu updates to all 3 pCp players. I tried updating to the "audio" on one and while it updated, the Ratlink wifi wouldn't work, so I connected an ethernet cable and updated again - but this time to standard beta 7. Working now. One thing I have noticed on the 3.20 beta is the Harry Potter yellow lightning strike is not so frequent as on 3.11 . I run rP1 2 + with Kali reclockers, 7" touch screens and ESS9023 DACs all from a supposed 5v 3.0 amp supply that I got with the Kali. I was about to connect a second 5v supply for the touch screen only when 3.20 came out and this looks like saving a bit of fiddling with 2 power supplies for one device. A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee. Seen sprayed on the outside wall of the local library - Three things I hate in life : 1. Vandalism 2. Irony 3. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 3.20 Beta
This is posted for insitu_upgrade. Kernel updated to 4.9.21 Updated Boss driver, which is supposed to address the clicking between tracks when rate changes. Also, just an FYI, do not turn off your HDMI port with 3.20 (Tweaks page HDMI power) If you do, your I2S soundcard will probably no longer work. Reference.https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/1949 Once rpi fixes the issue, there will be one last update before release. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107223 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Netbooting piCorePlayer 3.x
Hi, with an empty SD card with only bootcode.bin on it, even a Raspberry Pi 2 can netboot picoreplayer. But Rpi2 does not look into the serialnumber folder, he searches the boot files in the pxe root. Took me a day to find that problem. It is also possible to boot from a USB Stick. I just write the piCorePlayer img to the stick as I would do with an SD card and it worked out of the box. Even mydata.gz gets written to sda2. But config.txt changes are written back to the bootcode.bin sd card, which then brakes the booting.
