Re: Multi-homed geronimo woes
Hi Pete, If you ping whine now, does it resolve to localhost? If it does, then the DNS record is fine and something might be wrong with the geronimo config. I'm not totally sure as well, but if your DNS is being governed on etc/hosts/ after a restart of the service - I believe your (local) dns entries should be in effect immediately? Hopefully this will help rule out whether its DNS or geronimo. Hope this helps, Joseph Leong On Wed, Jul 9, 2008 at 3:04 PM, Peter L. Upgrading to Dojo 1.1.1
Hi everyone, I've been tossing the idea around in my head of taking the initiative to upgrade the current items written in Dojo to 1.1.1, I know we still have some Dojo 0.4.3, which isn't supported anymore, in use and there has been vast improvements with their new Dijit package for widgets among many other items. Also, with some recently reported JIRAs about accessibility compatibility being an issue in these Dojo components we can make use of the a11y available in it. Overall, i also think we might also benefit a cleaner setup from streamlining our versions in terms of future development and maintenance as well. Although I haven't looked in complete detail in each of the AG Dojo pieces, i know that the 0.4.3 transition to 1.1.1 will take some work because the widget system has been separated out to it's own pieces (diji) and so simple work arounds will not do. That is, this will be a big block change rather than an incremental one. Does anyone have any thoughts - one way or the other on this undertaking? Thanks! Joseph Leong
Re: SQL-Database Clustering and Loadbalancing with Geronimo
Hi Rudi, I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but we have some documentation on 'WADI Application Distribution Infrastructure': http://cwiki.apache.org/GMOxDOC21/wadi-clustering-support.html which might prove to be a good place to start for your solution. Also, I've seen references on the list to a third party called Terracotta at http://www.terracotta.org/ which provides some scalable solutions you can work with AG on. -Joseph Leong On Fri, May 16, 2008 at 5:38 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: 'Hi, Iam Designing a Database WebApplikation Projekt, based on Geronimo. Re: Require help and guidance to deploy a war file
To add any clarification, so inside your ims.war file you have a folder called ims.war. Take the contents in that folder and unpack it to the root level of your war file. -Joseph Leong On Thu, Apr 17, 2008 at 10:05 AM, Jason Warner [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hello again, Let me amend my previous statement. I was thinking slower than my fingers type. I believe you should just package the contents of /ims/ims.war into a war file. Meaning, everything in your ims.war directory should be contained in the root level of your actual war. Please ask for clarification if necessary. The difference with the file i deployed in Geronimo is i added in a geronimo-web.xml file in WEB-INF and compress the file into .war. This may or may not be a problem, depending on whether you have things like resource references that need to be resolved. You can also give the deployer a separate deployment plan file on the command line. These is the file i deployed in Geronimo. Hi Praveena, Going off of what Jason Warner and Joe Bohn said about minimalistic installs, in the event that you've installed a minimalistic version of Geronimo... You can install the console, welcome page and other features through the command line. For example in linux you could run: /Geronimo_Home/bin/deploy.sh -u system -p manager search-pluginsto see what kind of options you. Hi CG, I remember a previous version was having the failed state issue at one point as well...
