RE: How do I make a voice recording for a message?
That's the way it works on WhatsApp, so that makes sense. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Richard Turner Sent: Friday, July 17, 2020 10:05 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: How do I make a voice recording for a message? I couldn't get it to work either, then my wife looked it up. To record an audio text message you have to hold the record button while recording. To do this with VoiceOver, do the pass-through gesture; otherwise known as double tap and hold and do not lift your finger until you are done recording. You will find that the record button becomes a send button when you lift your finger after the recording. Thanks for asking, as I did not know how to do this either. Re: How do I make a voice recording for a message?
Also, if one does not want to have to hold down the button by invoking the pass through gesture, then one can place the phone to their ear and it will play an audible tone signaling the start of recording. When taking the phone away from the ear, recording will stop. On 7/17/20, Richard Turner wrote: > I couldn't get it to work either, then my wife looked it up.
