bar code apps?

2015-12-07 Thread Ann Chiappetta
Hi,

Trying this again, I am seeking bar code reading apps like red laser, which
doesn't seem VO ready anymore.

Re: different bar code apps

2013-04-01 Thread Nancy M
I was just talking with another person who had phoned for support (yes,
Digit-Eyes does have free phone and email support). She had an
interesting way to deal with her bar codes. When she is shelving the
item, she puts a bit of scotch tape over the bar code so that it will be
very easy to find the next time. The software reads through the tape
without issue.

I think that is pretty clever...

 it
not too hard to find them at all within anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds.

If you can see well enough to find the bar code you might be able to make
 a
bar-code reader work. If you can't, and don't have any help, it probably
isn't worth getting an app for that. I've never tried one in a store but
 I
think I've heard of people who have. When they work they can be very nice
because you can get package directions and nutrition information.

Maybe there is something out now that can find the codes quickly. If
 there
is I'd like to know about it.

2013-03-09 Thread Dan Beaver GMail
Hi,

Omoby works well. I have been using it to read barcodes on cans and boxes.

I also found out that it works very well for identifying U.S. paper
currency. No need to purchase LookTel now.

Hi all,

As you all may know, I'm looking for an assessable bar code app. I looked at
the bar code pro but there's also other bar code apps out there.

I want a bar code that will scan the labeling on cans, packages and on box
foodsand scan prices etc and read them along with other household products
etc. I'm not sure witch bar code app to choose. What does everyone
recommend? What is a good reliable bar code app to either get for free or
purchase? Any feed back would be very much appreciated.

RE: different bar code apps

2013-03-08 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Lori,

I have never heard about the app you mention. Why not get Digit Eyes, it
will read barcodes and it is designed primarily for the visually impaired
user and in addition to having a huge database of barcodes, it also allows
you to record an audio label if the product is not found/recognized.

Regards,
Sieghard
