Again in Entourage choose Tools:Mailing List Manager and if you have
selected WAMUG Mailing List in the To field of a recent
WAMUG message, Mailing List Manager will figure out a bunch of stuff and
insert it for you. Just select the chosen destination folder and you're
away.

In Entourage, go to Tools>Rules>New> then insert Rule name and in drop-down
box "all messages" click on "Reply-to" and in " Change Status " select "move
message" and in "In box" select the folder (or create the folder) that you
want the emails from WAMUG to be moved to.

Hi Ronni and all on WAMUG

As an aside to this discussion, when we set up GMUG mailing list we
included "GMUG" as a default subject intro. When rules are set for
GMUG mail filtering, we can simply set it to "subject contains: GMUG"
as the mail system automatically adds "GMUG" to the subject. Perhaps
worth considering?

Re: Digest Mode

actually you could use "contains" should work

The quicker and nastier way is to go down the bottom left, Create
Smart Mailbox, put your criteria in that, this pulls all your Wamug
mail into one spot but doesn't take it out of your inbox.

Re: digest mode

2009-07-14 Thread Daniel Kerr

Yeh it's fun. I'm subscribed with two email addresses, so I actually get all
the WAMUG emails twice.
Glad I have a good filter set up ;o)

Kind Regards
Daniel

Re: digest mode

Thanks Daniel,

I had unsubbed on a day when the activity was furoius to say the least
and copped 80+ emails that day. So at least I know what is going
on now!

Hi Bill

As per Matt's email below, digest isn't available at the moment due
to list

issue and the list having to be moved.
It was either, get the list working again without full function,..or
no

WAMUG list at all. He went with the first option. :o)

Hope that helps.

I handle my mailing list subscriptions by creating a separate mailbox
(or folder) for each list I've subscribed to. I then create a filter
(or rule) for each list to take incoming messages and put them in the
appropriate mailboxes.

That way I've got a mailbox for WAMUG mail where I can go and quickly
browse by subject, date, sender, etc, without getting mired in the
"digest" format where it's much harder to search for individual
postings.

You are on digest mode.

It just takes a little while to filter through the system.
Additionally, if your inbox is filling up, perhaps you should invest
some time in learning about mail filters. They are very useful
features.
