Etonkovidova added a comment. @Catrope yes, sorry for the confusion - first I too thought that the issue was about enhanced=1 The problem seems to be that "Expand watchlist..." option is not saved in a bookmark when new filters are enabled. tl; dr "Expand watchlist to show all changes, not just the most recent" won't be reflected in url - with or without new filters enabled. I rechecked the straightforward scenario: Without new filters (the beta feature) enabled, I enabled the option "Expand watchlist to show all changes, not just the most recent" in Preferences-Watchlist and click to open Watchlist in a different tab. So I see the results. Notice the results are not grouped for 'Mavetuna' cause - it's only expanded to show all changes. In the new RC system, we make the URL parameter be synchronized with the preference -- so it seems like it's the same. The old system doesn't have that synchronization, though, which means that whatever preference the user has for "group by page" will be overridden by the enhanced=xx parameter. But that's apparently not what happens. In a sense, it's logical - page specific "Group results by page" option will not be preserved when a user opts out of the new filters. Constraint statements don’t hold a list of values of the same kind, of which one is (in whatever way) determined to be the best; they define special characteristics of a property, which are mainly identified by the constraint type, and the fact that they’re all statements of a single “property constraint” property is mainly a technical detail of the encoding IMHO. I don’t see why it would make sense not to check a “single value” constraint just because there is a “format” constraint with preferred rank. thiemowmde added a comment. I just talked to @Lydia_Pintscher about the 3 options. I believe #3 would be bad. What would happen? Let's say I make an edit on Wikidata, and this edit spreads to 100 client wikis. My user account is automatically created on all these wikis the same time. On half of the wikis a bot comes and adds a welcome message to the local talk page. I get notifications for all of these. This is bad for multiple reasons: The obvious issue is the Echo spam, and also that I now have multiple dozen talk pages I never wanted. #2 does have an important benefit: for all edits that are done from a client (currently only for sitelinks, but we want to have much more client editing), the local recent changes entries for this edit will point to the local user. This is exactly what I would expect as a user doing this edit. I never visited Wikidata. I don't want recent changes entries point to a user page on Wikidata I do not use. The problem with #2 is that for all other wikis that are not my home wiki, the recent changes entires will also point to local user pages I do not use, and do not want to maintain. #1 is the most consistent solution. Always point to Wikidata. After all, the edit was actually done on Wikidata. With solution #1, the user doing edits from a client wiki will wonder why recent changes entires do not point to his own local user page, but to Wikidata. These pages therefore need to be helpful enough for first-time users. One suggestion to achieve this is a kind of header, like on WikiProject pages or on WD:DEV, linking back to the main help portal. It seems this is now live on query.wikidata.org, and I’ve noticed that pressing Esc to close the editor’s autocompletions or suggestions now also removes focus from the editor.
