I thought you all might be able to point me in a direction to fix the issue I

It would be good to note that I did a full backup of the ISC directory prior to

Wouldn't that just be delete filespace bumbleb *? If so, I have done that

Hi Rick,
There is undocumented command called show systemservices that will show
all the services on the system.
The output will look like this
tsm show systemservices
stat rc system object (sub command)

OK Event Log

Hello All,
Thanks for your help!!
Is there a way to verify or list of particular files from Oracle TDP

understand the TDP and the DBA doesn't understand TSM or the TDP.
Does anyone know any tricks or how I can find out
Hi Guys,
I have one client that has TSM Server 5.3, on the new licesing terms of
version 5.4, it's supported on the basic license libraries with x drives
and y slots, our client is licensed to use the tsm basic edition, and
because it's library is bigger than allowed on version 5.3 the
Oracle TDP uses a virtual filesyatem name called /adsm-rman. You will see it on
the server if you do a q occ on the node in question. To check the TDP files
TSM has, on the client run the following command :
dsmc q backup /adsm-rman/*/df* /tmp/tdp_check.out
The data files all have df in the

Hi Neil,
Nope. No virtual file systems and I don't have any backupsets created for
this node. It just literally won't delete the node from the server.

I believe the performance tuning guide explains the resourceutilization
parameter better. In short, you have to set it to at least 5 to get 2
backup sessions.

Any active sessions for that node, or restartable restores? The
restartable restores has caught me a few times. Also, have you run an
audit lic after deleting the filespaces? I seem to remember (may be
faulty - no TSM for the brain...) having to do that at one time.

This is a retired AIX server that has been shut down some time ago.
Node Name: BUMBLEB
Platform: AIX
Client OS Level: 5.2

Policy Domain Name: RETIRED
I don't understand... this looks like Q FILESPACE F=D output... is this
current? If so, the file spaces are still there.

It's strange that the TSM server Activity Log shows no ANR message of
any kind relating to the dsmadmc session loss: I would expect at
least some record of the session drop from its end. Based upon what
you report, it would appear that the TSM server was not responsible
for the dsmadmc
Mmmm not necessarily.
Backups are done with two basic kinds of threads:
* Producer thread that scans the file system looking for changed files,
and queuing up transactions of changed files to be backed up.
* Consumer thread that picks the transactions off the queue from the
producer thread,
Try:
select NODE_NAME,cast(BACKUP_DATE as date) as
BACKUP_DATE,STATE,cast(DEACTIVATE_DATE as date) as
DEACTIVATE_DATE,HL_NAME,LL_NAME from BACKUPS where
NODE_NAME='YOUR_TDP_NODE_NAME' order by BACKUP_DATE

Hi Jon -
Below is my understanding of TSM DRMedia and what I do when I am trying
to identify and locate DRMedia destined for offsite.
I have defined drmedia primary stgpools and drmedia copy stgpools -
these settings are displayed with the command query DRMSTATUS.
