Hello
I have received the following schedule from the various coordinators, which I
intend to upload to the satellite. Here and there I had to ommit a pass
since we have other activities scheduled for those times. Appologies for not

Here's my attempt at a step by step tutorial to manually configure XW-1
in SatPC32.
1. ADD XW-1 KEPLERIAN ELEMENTS
Note: XW-1 Keps are in the 17 December nasa.all Keps from AMSAT. If you
use this file, update Keps and skip to step 2 below. If you use a
different Keps file use the following

It is only necessary to restart SatPC32 after editing any of the auxiliary
files not the whole computer.

"HOPE-1" sounds really fine in EL29kq. The following information is assuming
that my SatPC32 is configured correctly for the "HOPE-1". My keps read the

a heading of 97 degrees az from EL29kq, less than 1 minute aft
Or encourage the author of the software to write a utility/menu item that will
update all the required files just by the
user inputting data into a few boxes.
If the user can't intuitively update the software then the project isn't
finished.

I think it's because more people use SatPC32 then any other satellite
tracking program. The majority of SatPC32 users don't have a problem. Also
the experienced users of SatPC32 don't mind helping out the new users of the
s/w simply because it is the best satellite tracking package in use today,

Nels,
I have found that the SATPC32 function which allows you to assign a name to
an object number is very helpful at times like this when a new satellite is
being commissioned. It seems they are always changing the name in the keps.
I have added the following line to the AMSATNAMES.TXT file:

Alan, WA4SCA,
XW-1's orbit is quite easy for manual tracking, though not quite
as easy as it is for AO-51 ECHO or GO32...
Just remember these facts:
* XW-1's orbits come over 17 minutes earlier each day.
* There is a pass 109 minutes earlier and/or later
* Once a week (6 days) add about an hour and a half (b
