Zindagi also reminds me one of the recent mellow song Kaisi hai yeh
ruth (Dil Chahta Hai )by SEL, which is also surprisingly sung by
Srinivas. You have to hear it again to find the similarities...

Good that you mentioned that song. It is
you are right. may be it is because it has a ghazal like melody or
that of old era songs that it sounds like an old song. at least now
after visiting all ARR songs for comparison i know that it is not a
stale ARR song.

This song has an old world type melody to it, almost like a ghazal.
And since you've heard ghazals before, maybe that's why you think it's
old. It has nothing to do with it being a stale ARR song, and on
the contrary, in Zindagi, ARR has composed such beautiful, smooth

Rawat,
Great post. One of your best posts in recent times. Zindagi is indeed
the pick of the lot for me. Reminds me of beautiful, melody rich
ghazals from yore with great lyrics, great feeling, and soothing
effect. Sad that most people dismiss this song. Thank God there is

I completely disagree. Zindagi offers a lot of freshness in terms of
melody and voice intonation. Musically it is subtle, which makes it
unique.
