Virtual Audio Cable help
After installing VAC, my sound is knocked out. I am monitoring my sound with my Blue Yeti and have all other playback devices turned off. I uninstalled it and restored my sound. How do you set it up and use it properly?

It probably set itself as default in the sounds control panel mmsys.cpl. Just set your normal device back to default and you should be good.

Yeah. That's a must when installing any of these types of appls. VAC, Hi-Fi Audio Cable, etc. They'll always switch to being the defaults, so it's always better to use an external sound card with your speech outputting to it until the installatio

Noted. Wish I knew that before I tried to install *facepalm*Pretty nifty Win10 lets you control inputs and outputs per app even if there aren't any explicit settings to do so in the app.

@6, that was an oddly-phrased question -- I suppose it would help if I asked something more specific, lol. I'd like to record me speaking through my mic and in-game audio. I can record everything that comes through my system without VAC, but Discord, NVDA

@9 vac is paid, the free version is completely useless, who want to hear in his recording a voice that'll say trile every 5 sekonds or so

So I'm a bit confused. I see something called VAC Cables A+B and C+D which are purchased by donation. Another website sells licenses for VAC V4. I'm not sure what the different "cables" are?

You can do it this way, but depending on your setup, it may be insufficient. You might find yourself needing an external USB sound card.So there are basically two workflows that I use, and I avoid complicated setups like where you have 5 lines or something
