I have been trying to find where my great-great grandfather, Manuel
Rodrigues is buried. He immigrated to Hawaii in the 1880's from the Azores
and then the family immigrated from Hawaii in 1906...
So... according to family lore, he was

When I did work for my dad's cousin on her Welsh side, I couldn't find her
ancestor in the CA Death Index either. I think I pulled the actual roll of
film for that year and started reading. The
ys that you can look at the records.

there are records of weekly pay statements for 1858-1900 for the men who
built the railroad. I think I am interested in the railroad that was near
Mission San Jose, Niles area.
