This morning I count at least 350 Red-necked Grebes of Rattray Marsh ...
not that usual since this a know late summer/fall staging area. The
mudflats are rapidly widening since the water level of Lake Ontario has
dropped considerably in the last few weeks but with only 3 species of
shorebird: 9 Ki

I understand that this board is not normally to be used for discussions, but I
feel it is important to reply to what Miranda O'Hara posted earlier.
As a birder and an angler, I am not happy about this either. But it is legal
to fish in any public water, unless there are specific laws regulating
Today we were at one of our favourite local birding spots, Reesor Pond, on
Reesor Road south of Highway 7. To our amazement, there were about 20 people
fishing there, some even in waders, and actually in the pond. This is a first
for us, we have never seen this before. It is infuriating, as this
A group of us are currently watching a Fish Crow at the tip of Point Pelee.
The bird has been calling.

Currently viewing Buff-breasted Sandpiper on Pen. B at Tommy Thompson Park
(Leslie St. Spit) in Toronto.
Also present are two Baird's Sandpiper and two American Golden-Plover among
other shorebird sp.
Park is located at the foot of Leslie St. in Toronto's east end.
